Jason Kenney will win the Alberta election in a landslide. Here's what he should do on Day One

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Much of what I'll talk about tonight is contingent upon Jason Kenney winning the Alberta election tomorrow.

But I know enough about my home province to know that it’s done with Rachel Notley and her NDP destroyers. There’s no drama, there’s no contest. I think Jason Kenney's United Conservatives will get up to 70 seats out of 87.

So what should he do?

I think on the very first day, he needs to fire a lot of holdovers from the Notley era — dozens, probably hundreds of people. Entire agencies, if need be.

Not just to send a message; not just to save money; but because otherwise, they will become malicious holdovers, like Donald Trump faced when he took office.

Right away, Kenney should cancel abominations like Alberta’s carbon tax and the war on the coal plants. There should be 100 similar projects cancelled in the first week. Cancel the kooky tricks and programs, like free solar panels. (For a province when there’s snow on the roof half the year.)

And all the while, a no-shredding order should go out. You know Notley's NDP destroyers will break that law, but you should try to enforce it anyways.

The media and the public sector union bosses will be the true official opposition in Alberta going forwards.

But another problem he faces are those I call entryists. You already Progressive Conservative lobbyists who have been lean for four years, all lining up. And many of them bring the corruption of red Tory politics with them.

Even if the past few days I’ve seen would-be lobbyists jockeying to get a piece of the action as “moderate, sensible conservatives”, not like the deplorables who actually got Kenney elected. I can assure you there’s a lot more money in being a pro-carbon tax lobbyist than being against it.

It’s something to watch out for.

But I suppose the last thing the last challenge, is a good one:

It’s Justin Trudeau. TONIGHT I'll explain what I mean.

By the way:

We’ll be having a LIVE ELECTION NIGHT YouTube show tomorrow, starting at 7:45pm MT (9:45pm ET).

Sheila and Keean will be at Kenney’s election night headquarters, while I’ll be here in our Toronto outpost, taking your comments and questions in real time.

It’ll be great! I hope you'll join us.

NEXT: Lorne Gunter joins me to talk more about tomorrow's historic election in Alberta.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

Ezra. You are one wise man. JK should do everything that you have laid out and do it right away. Scorched earth. No prisoners. Clean house. Any that are left to linger will do damage. Shock and awe. And JK needs to turn off the taps to BC as soon as he is elected. I live in BC and high gas prices are all that these obstructionist commies will ever understand. They don’t even know that they are toadies for American oil interests. We absolutely need a way to get Canadian oil to market for top dollar.

There is a law that could stop crooked politicians from getting their grubby fingers on the ballots, it was often used in the Old West.
In my opinion there are no Left, Right or Center parties anymore, they are all controlled by the NWO Marxist who want to eliminate the white working class and employ cheap imported labour. Look at the UK where leaving the EU has just been kicked down the road until next October 30th. UK politics is full of these dangerous people, they are called Remainers and have infiltrated all political parties.
Canada is behind the UK with it’s Marxism but catching up fast with Trudeau leading the way.

Well Rural Alberta, for your sake I sure hope Mr. Kenney has more balls and honesty than Ontario’s Great Yellow Hope, Double-cross Doug Ford.

I wonder what procedures and protocols they have in terms of chain of custody of the completed ballots?
Of course nobody should trust the Notley bureaucrats in charge of these votes.

Just watching CTV News Channel, when Marcia the News Reader read that Alberta may not know who won the Election until Wed. or Thurs.. Even the slow thinker Marcia shook her head as if to say, the rest of Canada can figure out the winner on Election Day, why can’t Alberta?
I have also been wondering why Elections Alberta (Gov’t Employees) would fix a system that wasn’t broken. Why put the Advance Voters Ballots in storage? Why not count them a few hours before the Polls close? Why store them in Edmonton ? Isn’t there a concern that Notley’s Union thugs might get a hold of them?
This is not a small matter as 900 thousand votes are in question. Look what happen in the CPC Leadership race where 7000 votes disappeared and Scheer got to be the Conservative leader instead of Bernier.

Correction to my post of about 11 hours ago:
I said “There is the Global Warming Petition Project, signed by over 32,000 vetted scientist. If 97% agree, then there should be a list supporting the science of about 1,033,000 floating around somewhere.”
Actually the 1,033,000 would be 100%, not 97%. So 97% would mean there should be a list of about 1,001,000 floating around somewhere. But my point remains the same.

Peter Netterville…. Most politicians and bureaucrats simply do not have the intellect to run successful businesses.

Excellent Comment. Here in Southern BC, our Municipal Govt morons run our city’s
Electrical System instead of letting the supplier ( Fortis ) do it. We pay the highest rates in BC, maybe all of Canada. .1203 cents per Kilowatt hour. That says it all.

Ezra, your comment at the last there about more than just Albertans wanting Notley and the communists GONE, is very true and needs to be seriously considered by Jason Kenney, et al!
I live in central interior BC, and even more so is how many Canadians outside of Alberta NEED Jason Kenney to take some of Ezra’s advice that was outlined in today’s show and get rid of the Marxists and other traitors and criminals embedded in government; and to not give in to his fear of the FNMP (Fake News Media Party) and to know that if Mr. Kenney has any ideas about promoting globalism-in-Alberta, or Canada; or pushing tens of thousands of third world peasants and other undesirables into rural Alberta, that he won’t last long…and any tolerance that Albertans had for corrupt politics – or corrupt politicians – is pretty much non existent now after all the corruption and criminality of any of all the partisan political groups that have so wrecked Alberta…since the days of Ralph Klein!
Canada and Canadians NEED Alberta to be whole and healthy!
commented 2019-04-16 09:56:53 -0400
In these days of NWO Marxism, whoever wins the election is a servant of and paid for by the UN. The UN being control’d by Islam, who make up the largest voting block.
Same thing goes with the Feds. Though Bernier dose shed a ray of hope for real Canadians. From the opposition put up by the establishment, he is in all probability not a plant of the NWO. Some of the online polls are showing that he dose have a chance of winning…….Let us pray.

No government on any level should ever own any business whatsoever. That is the true blue Conservative policy. Most politicians and bureaucrats simply do not have the intellect to run successful businesses.

Klein was correct in selling off AGT, the liquor board and the utilities. Alberta could do with another Klein type. Kenny is certainly not that one. He is too much red tory.

Nevertheless, he is going to take office in a few days. Better than Notley … marginally. Better Scheer that Trudeau … marginally.

It would be nice to see Derek Fildebrandt’s Freedom party take all 20ish seats where he has candidates, but that is unlikely to happen in just the same way it would be nice to see Maxime’s PPC party take all the seats, but is unlikely to happen.

Wishing a thing does not make it so.

Indeed Charred Remains… Kenney would indeed be “wise” to reflect on the frustrations of the people of Alberta after the Flush Notley years… Doing the usual “Ottawa Spin” will alienate him very, very quickly given the pent up frustrations of the overwhelming majority of Albertans… Sticking to his promises however, would set him on the course of being the next Ralph Klein… And, that’s coming from a BCer!…
commented 2019-04-16 03:12:44 -0400
Oh, so Notley has rigged the election? Why was Kenny not fighting this all along? She’ll be getting the troops out to vote in small districts where they can add seats. Those 227k aren’t ppl eager to see Notley kicked out – those are her ppl voting in strategic ridings!!
commented 2019-04-16 02:49:51 -0400
The record turnout in advance polls reflects the fact that Albertans are not about to be conned again by by NDP’s “not enough printed ballots” scam as happened in Calgary… And it remains to be seen how long Flush Notley hangs around if she scores only a dozen seats or so… And, my son has recommended a very nice Alberta beer to celebrate with tomorrow night, here in the B.C. jungles of the Horgan/Weaver Tango…
commented 2019-04-16 02:49:20 -0400
Kenney is just another Left WingNut, Globalist, Trudeau Nut Sucker. He won’t be Notley but don’t expect much to change. Kenney is NO DOUG FORD. He will betray Alberta, he is weak and a Coward just like Scheer, he has no balls and is not a Patriot. Vote out one evil to elect another. The true Canadian way.

Good for you Lorne Gunter. It is nice to finally hear someone talk about the issue of the science of Climate Change. No one except maybe President Trump wants to touch it, even though it is clear that the science, if you want to call it that, is flawed and needs to be challenged. Even Jason. I did see one scrum where he was ask if he believed that Climate Change is real (whatever that means) and if he thought humans were responsible or something to that effect. He answered Yes and Yes and moved on. At least he moved on quickly, I guess.

So in the interest of challenging it, here are some of my favourite links, I will skip my own stuff for now:

There is the Global Warming Petition Project, signed by over 32,000 vetted scientist. If 97% agree, then there should be a list supporting the science of about 1,033,000 floating around somewhere. http://www.petitionproject.org/

Here is a link to Dr. Robert Robinson’s presentation to the Heartland’s International Conference on Climate Change #9 (ICCC#9) where he discusses the petition. http://climateconferences.heartland.org/arthur-b-robinson-award-iccc9/

Here is a link to Dr. Moore’s Keynote Presentation to the ICCC#9. Dr. Moore has done numerous great presentations, but this is still one of my favorites. http://climateconferences.heartland.org/patrick-moore-iccc9-keynote/

And, here is Dr. Moore’s paper were he explains the benefits of CO2, how levels were getting dangerously low and how our burning of Fossil Fuels may be saving life on earth. https://fcpp.org/sites/default/files/documents/Moore%20-%20Positive%20Impact%20of%20Human%20CO2%20Emissions.pdf

I would say it is past time for a serious discussion about the science. Because, first you need to determine if there is really a problem, and if there is, what is it really. Like for example, what if the earth cools down a few degrees.

Charles Adler is the knuckle dragger. I had no idea Adler was that much of a bottom feeder. What, is he hoping for, some cbc action in his old age?

Kenney is shaming himself. He has no self respect, look at him. He is still better than queen commie, but needs some serious taking to task, or his time could be very short lived.

I love how you cover all of Canada. You live in Toronto now but you haven’t forgotten about the West. Your strong Alberta, BC coverage keeps me engaged. We are all rebels!
And I’m not even a little “Alt-right”. Looking forward to Alberta election result coverage on Tuesday.

How come the RCMP investigate some politicians and not others? Is it like the mullet report?

It’s also important that Kenney stop mirroring Trudeau’s outward hatred for Donald Trump. It doesn’t matter if you like Trump or not, he’s your number 1 trading partner and holds a lot of cards in the resource export opportunity game.
I think Albertans have no choice but to vote for UCP (but in ridings where the NDP hasn’t got a chance, there is FCP and others)
The biggest 5 drawbacks about Kenney is:
1. kowtowing to leftist media
2. his apparent distaste for free speech and free press (ignoring Rebel Media)
3. his outward hatred of Trump
4. his desire to increase immigration at a time of high unemployment
5. he cowers when taunted by Trudeau
Looking forward to tomorrow’s election coverage.

To see the end of Notley will be a show worth watching and I bet that most of Canada will be.
Without trying to put a downer on everybody, I think we should remember that she belongs to the same club that Trudeau, Theresa May and many other political leaders do and they all have backing from the dirty tricks club called the UN. Has anyone heard of an influx of Muslims into Alberta lately, Muslims with numerous voting cards in their pockets?
commented 2019-04-15 21:44:56 -0400
When I heard Charles Adler’s questions to Jason Kenney, it reminded me of all the simpletons in the US who, more than two years after the election, are still trying to make us believe that because a few prominent far right extremists supported Trump during the 2016 election campaign, that automatically means Trump absolutely must be a secret neo-Nazi skinhead antisemitic fascist baby-eater, or something.
I missed my calling. I had no idea political punditry was so easy.
Without any university education, I could easily cough up better questions than that with half my brain tied behind my back.
commented 2019-04-15 21:28:15 -0400
Worrying about what Kenney does after he wins is premature. While a win looks probable, I will not breath easy until 23:00 tomorrow and Notley has conceded. The NDP will get their vote out, like they always have.

By Assuming a win, the UCP May be lazy and not get their vote out. That happened to Harper in the 2004 election, when it was assumed he would win but Martin got his vote out and continued in office.

Meant to say, too bad your 2 shows, Ezra, couldn’t be sent to Jason Kenney.
Why not send him a complimentary membership to TheRebel!

Notley even made sure to rig the election methods so Albertans wouldn’t have an immediate victory tomorrow night.
Hopefully the numbers will be so good, celebrations will begin tomorrow….without her.

- This Alberta election has been dull for the most part. I’d say the UPC is a lock. They have just been way too horrible to consider getting even a minority government. I doubt if even massive voter fraud could help them (& given the way these far left parties work I wouldn’t put it past them to try). After the election there will be a need for Alberta to build a real opposition party so the NDP disaster doesn’t happen again.

- Will be watching the Rebel election coverage tomorrow night.

I hope Lorne Gunter is right about Jason Kenny being tough. It could be that he’s being cautious until he wins and then he’ll sock it to the NDP media.
