Alberta is set to repeal its carbon tax. Is it a sign of things to come?

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Today I'm reporting from outside the Alberta legislature in Edmonton. I must tell you, the air smells a little freer now that Rachel Notley's job-killing, anti-energy NDP is out of power.

It looks like new premier Jason Kenney getting ready to keep his biggest promise: To repeal the hated carbon tax.

But how far will Kenney go in overturning the rest of Notley's radical agenda?

What about Bill 6, the farm unionization act? Or the NDP's war on homeschooling and Christian schools?

I predict that the Media Party and what's left of the opposition will put up a fight in the months ahead.

Here at The Rebel, we'll hold Jason Kenney's government to account from the right, challenge him to address conservative issues he's reluctant to talk about — and we'll call out the Media Party's gutter journalism and bad faith criticism of Kenney, too.

The tide has turned in Alberta. Will it turn at the national level come October's federal election?

My guests tonight, Keean Bexte and Sheila Gunn Reid, talk about all this — and there's also an unscripted "interview" with a certain NDP MLA you won't want to miss!

That’s very interesting information Bruce Atchison, re Kenney defending his hire of Mark Cameron…. DID HE SAY WHY??

Thanks for a really interesting show. And though Trudeau’s tax on everything will hit tomorrow, I know that it too is headed for the round file. Now our job is to keep after our new MLAs to make sure they don’t slide left. By the way, I got a reply from Jason Kenny but he still thinks Mark Cameron is a good pick. We need to disabuse him of that errant notion.

How far will Kenney go?

Well, when it comes to accomplishments, it won’t take much to beat Ontario’s Great Yellow Hope, Double-cross Doug Ford.

Ford started his scared chicken flip-flopping during the election campaign. Within 24 hours he completely back-tracked on a statement he made about permitting some development in the GTA Greenbelt region….and he hasn’t stopped kowtowing to the lefties since.

Let’s hope Kenney has a bit of a backbone and some vestigial balls….Ford has neither.

“Repeal” is somewhat superficial, considering they’re only reducing the consumer levies (which then fall under fed rules) and the corporate levies are merely being reduced to $20/tonne from 30.

- If pressure isn’t kept on Kenney to keep his promises it’ll only be a matter of time before the conditions that brought the NDP to power are repeated. They can’t reduce taxes without reducing spending & one of the best ways to do that is to reduce the bureaucracy. Since the NDP used the bureaucracy as their personal welfare program, getting rid of them should be job one.

Notley and her comrades did their best to destroy the spirit of Albertans, while filling their pockets with our money, and laying waste to our economy. It’s sad that she’s in opposition because I would have preferred never seeing her face again! It will take decades to recover, if ever, due to the assault on capitalism by the corrupt globalists like Notley and Trudeau.

Good Riddance to useless socialist ideology that oppresses people.

Its like a warm shower on a Sunday afternoon. Notley is gone. Damnatio Memoria! Erase everything she did. Appreciate the visit Ezra, we need you and Sheila to keep on top of the issues in the west. No carbon Tax!

You guys are great. You need to get back to Alberta Ezra. It’s a key strategy in the game “RISK”.

There will come a day when someone finds a chink in Trudeaus security detail and wham bam,he has pissed a lot of people off with his Bill C71,and by the way Spencer Fernando was reporting SNC Lavalin is going to trail on corruption charges,so the prancing fruitcakes house of cards just might come crashing down!!!!

Would be good to see Keean cornering Trudeau in a scruff on immigration, though I don’t know how he would get through the ring of twenty five or so, armed body bodyguards that Trudeau dare not go anywhere without…….Must get a little cramped in the toilet.

The UCP MLAs won’t engage the Rebel because Kenney threw the Rebel under the bus.
