Notley imposes Soviet nationalization on Alberta oil

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, I reported on Premier Rachel Notley forcing Alberta oil producers to cut production during an economic crisis

This is a full-scale Soviet-style plan to punish Canadian oil producers and eliminate a competitor for our oil producing enemies like Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.

Yet no Canadian conservative leader is willing to oppose her. In fact, United Conservative Party leader Jason Kenney is so afraid of the media that he's backing Notley's cut to oil production.

Meanwhile, Andrew Scheer released a long statement where he failed to take any recognizable position.

Is anybody going to defend Alberta oil workers?

That's why I'm calling for a stop to this embargo against ourselves and our own jobs.

We need to save Alberta jobs and send a message that Alberta will be open for business very soon -- May 2019.

Albertans should not be sitting at home while we still import OPEC oil. Let’s embargo Riyadh, not Red Deer.

canada is a sewer full of many different countries, governments, foreigners- none of whom give a rats ass about canada or canadians while they take everything they can, use/exploit and abuse what is left of the laws, money and land . canuks are nothing but slaves tripping over themselves as they rush to the head of the line for the slaughter!
Pathetic morons about to meet their maker beginning next year after mohammad wins the fake election and his invaders armed with guns, knives etc. being the white genocide .
Canuks are simply too stupid to live!
They ALLOWED THIS, VOTED FOR IT, SUPPORTED IT, PAID FOR IT AND DID NOT ONE THING TO STOP IT!

I would greatly prefer an Embargo on Communists and Useful Idiots.

totally disagree ezra. the price had to go up. and after that is what happened. the little oil companies love it as well. of course we need the east-west pipeline built now, but with trudy that won’t happen.

The rationale doesn’t add up. 325,000 b/p/d equals about 0.4% of global oil production and about 2.0% of US refinery purchases. 325,000 b/p/d is not large enough to raise prices. Other jurisdictions will pick up the slack. Alberta’s oil producers are divided over the cuts with major firms: Imperial, Husky and Suncor, rejecting the “help.”

Had Notley framed the cuts as being part of a Climate Change program Albertans would be donning yellow vests; but this is the cuts’ true rationale. With an election looming Notley and Our Blessed Virgin Kenney are competing for the good graces of an uber-green media oligopoly whom they both rightly believe has the clout to determine the election’s outcome.

(References to “Soviet nationalisation” betray an embarrassingly attenuated political vocabulary.)
