The carbon tax and Bill 6 have claimed another Alberta business. Calgary greenhouse Hotchkiss Herbs and Produce is closing up shop and looking to leave the country, citing the carbon tax and Bill 6 as reasons.
And he was right. His last day in operation is December 16.
Paul Hotchkiss told Global News:
“You couldn’t come up with better policies to crush not only small farms, but I think small Alberta businesses in general.”
When he tried to tell Agriculture Minister O'Neil Carlier of his concerns, he was stonewalled and ignored.
How many long time Alberta businesses have to close before Notley listens to the warnings of the people she’s hurting?
