Alberta jobless rate surpasses Quebec's! Notley offers more "green energy" cronyism

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Move over Quebec. Alberta just pushed past you in the unemployment rate department.

Alberta’s jobless rate rose to 7.9%, well above the national average of 7.3%. Now Alberta is worse off than the Bernie Sanders of Canadian Confederation, the Province of Quebec. They are sitting at 7.6%.

What’s Rachel Notley been doing to plug the holes in the sinking ship of the Alberta economy and create the conditions to foster private sector job creation? The short answer is cronyism.

NDP just gave a subsidy of $10 million dollars to an Edmonton bio fuel company SBI BioEnergy that they claim will support 35 jobs. Alberta taxpayers are handing over almost $286,000 per job. Remember when the NDP were against corporate welfare when the PCs did it? This is the same old cronyism, just greener.

It’s just as bad at the Federal level. There, too, rages a perfect storm of ineptitude greed and cronyism.

Alberta will still be a net contributor to the national equalization program by sending billions more to Ottawa - to hand off to perpetual have-nots, Quebec and Ontario - than we will get back. Quebec aerospace company and constant corporate welfare bum, Bombardier, is also likely to get a one billion dollar federal bailout from Trudeau. That’s your money, Western Canada.

Alberta is bleeding jobs and plummeting into debt.

At what point does Alberta get to stop transferring our wealth to Quebec when they are more employed than we are?

Now Sheila.
If you want to attend any future NDP press conferences you had better start being nice to Notely and agreeing with her, regardless of how stupid her decisions may seem..

Time to go, this abuse and ridicule from eastern Canada will NEVER, NEVER end. These welfare payments to everyone but Alberta it seems will continue and we are NEVER, NEVER going to be thanked, never mind acknowledged. Muslim jt will never change this money grab and this garbage will continue. Time to go.

I believe the jobless rate is at least double what has been stated. Many people in AB are contractors, who were the first to be let go, and who had only what they’ve saved to live on. You can see the effects of job loss, in the levels of traffic in Calgary alone. The only good thing about this winter, is that the weather has been the best, since the winter of the 1988 olympics.

Drew – I wish it was only those who voted for these economy killers, that had to suffer the consequences. Believe it or not but some of the young professionals that I work with, who are draftsmen in lead roles, voted for both Notley and Trudeau. They don’t get it yet because the brutal economic reality of the kind of change that they voted for, hasn’t hit them yet.

Well done Snotley, hey where are the trolls who said we would prosper LMAO! To anyone who voted for this cow and is jobless now. YOU DESERVE IT!

How do the fed’s get the province’s money to redistribute in the first place?
How can Alberta with-hold the money that’s going to equalization payments?

In my opinion, it’s always been a mistake to let the feds collect any taxes on behalf of the provinces. It gives them too much power and we are now seeing how they abuse it.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush….
The HST was a fed promoted way for them to harmonize the federal sales taxes with the provincial sales taxes so the feds could collect both, the provincial part too. It was sold on the idea that it was a more efficient and convenient payment system for businesses.
Before that, the provinces used to collect their own PST and remit it to the feds.

The provinces have relinquished all their negotiating powers and have no cards to play.

Bombardier were just given 30m pounds sterling, by the UK to bail out their Aircraft operation in Northern Ireland. This is good for the employees who are, of course Irish I do not begrudge it them. (Source, Sky News).

Now Trudeau is going to give his friends, Bombardier, a further $1 billion, which will also go to Northern Ireland and help his personnel friends become more wealthy than they are.

What benefits will the Canadian Tax Payer receive from this deal? It is, after all, our money he is using.

Why would Bombardier not build their aircraft in Canada?

All this on top of the $200,000 per family, per year he is giving away to Muslim scum.

Trudeau is out of control.

William McDonnell …ahhh – that was accidentally intentional?
There is no way I could offend anyone in the way this NDPiggers are doing to Albertans & Canadians.

the day Alberta elected the NDP is the day Alberta committed suicide.

What is really great is that the Quebec jobless numbers include the patch workers no longer working in Alberta.

However, all is good. I have talked to friends laid off in Alberta, and even a son, who have followed the Energy Minister’s plan of employment for the Alberta unemployed and moved to B.C.!

Thanks for that advice Margie!

Daryl Herman. You better go back and check your spelling. You could offend some people. You know those micro aggression incidents. I think you just did one.

Lefty’s are SO superficial. They simply know what they want and can’t understand why it can’t be! They’re so void of even the least understanding of how societies function or business sense there’s no words in the English language to describe it!

NDP = Marxists, job killers, high borrowing, high deficit, high debt, trans gender promoter perverts, cowards, government/union cronyism, UN agenda 21 puppets, useful idiots, wasteful mismanagement of tax payer money, buys votes by creating government union jobs, highest paid government workers in the country.

Rachel and her gang of idiots are destroying Alberta. This should go on Rachel’s tombstone.

Really good song Kelvin Grabowsky!! …makes one want to cry – been an Albertan for more than 60 years – and never seen a shit-show in Alberta like the one we have today.
I’m all for a revolution!! These lunatics need stopping – and we can’t wait for next erection – there won’t be anything left to fix!

Yup, the treehuggers are killing jobs everywhere and the idiots that put criminals like Notley in there are cheering.

Bend over and stay there Alberta – Notley is just getting started.

Notley is borrowing from the Kathleen Wynneturbine playbook. Ask the people of Ontario how green cronyism is working for them. We have the highest power rates on the continent.
The people of Alberta have my sympathies.

It’s time Albertans to ask for equalization payments from Quebec and Ontario

Rachel is just as immature as the young children in her caucus. If someone were to insult Rachel, she would cry like a baby!

We should be thinking of civil disobedience and a little pie throwing contest, cream pie ,hot apple pie or my fave cow pie. Did you hear Notleys burn on the " wilted rose party" ? Yes that’s what she called them, the wilted rose party, and of course the media twerp just had to laugh, no challenge, just laughed. Big joke!!!! That’s the Alberta way Sheila.

Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Holland. ALL broke, or on their way to being, and yet today, they made a website about how the migrants should properly rape the locals, and how the female migrants can’t get into prostitution properly, instead of being forced by their accompanying males. As long as NDP are in charge provincially, and Libs federally, Canada will continue to live in another dimension of reality. Completely foreign to our own. Hawking would be proud.
