Murray Edwards, the Calgary oilsands tycoon, is reportedly moving to London, England, for tax reasons. Remember when he shocked the province by endorsing Notley’s carbon tax. That’s like a chicken endorsing Colonel Sanders!
We soon found out that Edwards company, CNRL, had negotiated huge subsidies in Notley's carbon tax scheme — his company won’t be out a dime. They might even make money off of it. That’s how Notley got Edwards on board. The carbon tax will just be for the little people.
And as for the hike in personal tax rates that Notley’s bringing in? Well, you can’t tax it, if it’s in London.
I don’t blame Murray Edwards for saving himself millions of dollars a year. But I do blame him for selling the rest of us out.
I would like to sign on….but I do not use Fuktbook. Any alternative?
Alberta Independence Party needs to get registered and start fighting back against the madness.
We need signatures!

The statement you used reeks of “capitalism is bad, profits are bad.” That is socialist stupidity.
Do you truly think that the government (the entity that the socialists worship) is not full of greedy people high up in power just wanting to take you money and line their pockets? If you do, then you are a fool.
Greed is systemic to the human race, socialist and capitalist.
The difference is that in a capitalist system, you willingly part with your money to buy the product offered by those greedy evil corporations and often have a choice to buy it from elsewhere.
However, in a socialists system where the government is worshiped by the socialist masses, the money is forcibly taken from the people and used as those greedy socialist elites in the government choose to spend it.
Which one you prefer is obvious. I prefer the big bad evil capitalist system because at least I have a choice.
Instead, there are all sorts of suck-up messages about “working together” with governments, “moving forward” on environmental initiatives, etc., etc. It’s enough to gag a maggot.
Mr. Edwards is the rule, not the exception.
and if he is shy about telling them, they do not mind, they just make a very extravagant guess. This move is going to cost him mega bucks.
The UK Minister of Health, just recently, came out with a big tirade about how the British Public were becoming Obese. A month later the Government came out with an extra tax on Sugar and Canned Soft Drinks.
The NDP have to go.
