Alberta’s Energy Minister tells unemployed: “Go work in BC until it gets better”

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Are you out of work in Alberta? You might be.

Alberta has 100,000 people unemployed and we are leading the country in new employment insurance claims. And the Energy Minister Marg McCuaig-Boyd has the solution to all of this. Just go to BC.

No really. She said that.

McCuaig-Boyd was addressing a full room during a meeting of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Land Administration in Calgary. When asked about unemployment and job losses in the energy sector Marg had all the answers.

She said "Certainly there are always talks about mobility of jobs between provinces so maybe they can go work in BC until it gets better and come back home, there’s things like that, that’s always been kind of ongoing but I think the training part is really important and that’s one we’re pushing.”

So the solution to the made in Alberta recession is to off-load the Alberta NDP problems onto BC? Instead of putting the breaks on the NDP carbon tax and the royalty review, or rolling back corporate tax rates or leaving the minimum wage alone, the NDP are putting their mess in Christy Clark's backyard.

BC residents didn’t vote NDP and they shouldn’t have to clean up their mess.

The NDP budget is a disaster. Over 50,000 are out of work. Investment is fleeing the province.

Let all sane Canadians, round up all the NDP, once we have them all together, we can have a large Barbecue. Trotters anyone. This will not effect Global Warming, though it may smell like corruption and dirty socks.

“Until it gets better…” That would be some time after 2019 when Alberta re-elects responsible government.

“There is no place to run to now.”

And the NDP still have not grasped that it is their policies that is making the situation far worse than it had to be.

About 800,000 economic refugees fled BC and came to Alberta because BC destroyed its economy years ago, and ended up with no jobs and starvation wages. The collapse of Alberta’s economy is now spreading to every sector in Alberta and starting to spread out across the country to other wrecked economies. There is no place to run to now.
