“Alita: Battle Angel” warns against left-wing utopias

Even before it hit theatres, the new movie Alita: Battle Angel was the subject of controversy.

Social justice warriors who are completely ignorant of the Japanese manga genre accused the filmmakers of “whitewashing” the female lead character.

Speaking of which, the actress cast in this role, Rosa Salazar, has turned others off by making anti-Trump comments.

Now that the movie is finally out, it’s been underperforming at the box office. Maybe that’s no surprise after all this controversy, but it’s still a shame. Alita: Battle Angel has so much going for it, including (believe it or not) an accidental argument in favour of the Second Amendment.

This movie isn’t without it’s flaws, though. It comes so close to being great, but I’ll explain how it could have been even better.

If there is a culture on this planet that is the antithesis of all the SJWs stand for it is Japan.
