Andrew Scheer: “It’s bad for every kind of Conservative when Justin Trudeau is Prime Minister”

Brian LilleyArchive

After eight months of hard campaigning and with a lot going on in the personal side of his life, Andrew Scheer has emerged as the leader of the Conservative Party. Not surprisingly, the media party had a lot of questions for Scheer about abortion or anything social conservative.

Watch as I speak with Andrew about taking on the challenge of uniting every kind of conservative under his leadership in order to build a party that can beat Justin Trudeau in 2019.

Allan Peterson,

You clearly don’t know what a socialist actually is vs. what you think a socialist is. You also seem unaware that you have been living in a Liberal country for the last 50+ years. You act as if Canada has all of a sudden become Liberal. You probably should have been born in America.

“One thing that Conservatives don’t understand is that Canadians will continue voting for the Liberal party – if the alternative is a social conservative.”

Jack, what you’re saying is what I’ve been saying for years. Morally degenerate, parasitic, Canadians (i.e. socialist) like their PM’s to be as stupid as they are. Finally we agree. But even a socialist can learn given enough pain over a long enough period of time. So the sooner the left collapses the Canadian economy and is subjected to sharia law the sooner the rehabilitation will start.

Of course some won’t learn even when they are penniless and bleeding on the beach. Even many hardcore communists in the Soviet gulags still supported Stalin and saw their imprisonment as a mistake that would soon be corrected- even after serving most of a tenner.

One thing that Conservatives don’t understand is that Canadians will continue voting for the Liberal party – if the alternative is a social conservative. The only exception is when Liberals truly fuck up and drenched in scandal like when Harper won, but Trudeau is nowhere near that.

Even if people think Trudeau is doing a shitty job, Liberal country Canada will not vote for a social conservative. You are kidding yourself if you think the majority of the country is going to embrace Scheer.

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

What did you like about him and obviously you had to have known that he had a zero chance of winning.

Speakers are mentally ingrained to give equal accommodation to BOTH sides in the House of Commons. That is why Andrew Scheer is centrist at best. To correct the damage incurred by Trudeau’s Liberals, an equal swing in the opposite direction of the political pendulum is required. The Canadian Constitution has so many checks and balances, that even a Libertarian PM would not have enough power to “straighten the rod”, at this point. Canadians have two serious primary issues to deal with come 2019: 1) Unsustainable debt and economic trouble, and 2) Islamic Supremacy over all non-Muslim Canadians via M-103.

If Scheer wants to defeat Trudeau, he needs to grow a backbone and stop regurgitating politically correct platitudes. Trudeau does not back down; despite the marked insanity of his precepts. Scheer needs to get busy learning about political economy if he wants to defeat Trudeau in 2019, because he knows absolutely nothing about economics, and will inherit a financial disaster, if elected.

Jack Carter, I voted Erin O’Toole.

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

Who did you want to be leader?

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

LOL. Typo.
commented 2017-05-29 18:14:28 -0400
Jack Carter, in all seriousness, I do think he will withstand a campaign. Don’t know about dodging, he hasn’t been in office that long for me to speculate. I look forward to seeing him in the House of Commons.
commented 2017-05-29 18:00:32 -0400
Jack Carter, was it a typo or did you really mean to refer to Andrew Scheer as it?
commented 2017-05-29 17:57:38 -0400
Ah Jack, I was adding to the compilation list.
If Andrew Scheer consistently botches the English & French language; and someone posts a video, I promise, I will pass it along!

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

Again, he already won the PM lottery and will be most likely be re-elected. It doesn’t matter.

Focus on your own house, before you complain about someone else’s. Can you only respond with criticism of the other guy when people point out your party’s problems? I am liberal and I can completely admit that I am not happy with Trudeau.

Why don’t you address Andrew Scheer and if you honestly think it has what it takes to withstand a campaign when he will get challenged and asked the tough questions from all and cannot just take the position of dodging or not wanting to rock the boat.
commented 2017-05-29 14:20:06 -0400
Allan Peterson,

He is already Prime Minister.

You are trying to find a guy to change that and Scheer clearly isn’t that since he folds at the slightest challenge where his answer might rock the boat or make him look bad to liberal voters possibly unhappy with Trudeau.

“It’s funny how he is stammering and won’t answer questions directly per HIS view – not what the party may or may not stand for. "

Refer to the previously provided video’s already provided for stammering on personal or party views.

Andrew Scheer – Personally Pro-Life, But Won’t Re-open Debate.

It’s funny how he is stammering and won’t answer questions directly per HIS view – not what the party may or may not stand for.

If you think this is Scheer answering questions directly, you are dumber than I already thought.

You have quite a talent there, Jack Carter.

You can see something, watch something, read something, and see precisely the opposite of what was said or written so that what you think you watched, read, or listened to fits into your narrow view of the world.

Andrew Scheer does not duck or shrink back from the hard questions. He has never done that yet. Neither does he turn into a stuttering mess. You are confusing Justine with Andrew. Trudeau certain does that almost all the time, except when he is fawning all over his beloved marijuana.

But Jack, we all know that you see the world through your reality-converted-to-socialism glasses.
commented 2017-05-29 03:54:51 -0400
William Kay,

You are correct. This is why Liberals are happy, because Scheer cannot beat Trudeau. Ask Scheer the hard questions or challenge him in some way and he ducks the question or turns into a stuttering mess.
commented 2017-05-29 01:53:18 -0400
William Kay—You put in writing what I didn’t want to admit. Smiles and nice families do not win big elections.
I believe Bernier could have won 2019 if O’Leary’s voters didn’t vote for someone that was out of the race.
Some good news is that Sheers French is quite acceptable to the French people.
commented 2017-05-29 00:34:37 -0400
I sense The Rebel team are hyping Scheer into something he isn’t. He’s no so-con; he’s no libertarian. This is someone who began paid employment with the party at a young age and who has known no other livelihood. With Trost, Bernier or even O’Leary there was some spark, some MOBILISING PASSION, – not with Scheer. Expect smiles and chuckles, nice guy, family guy stuff. Note how he ducked all the hard questions from Lilley. This is a recipe for election disaster. Remember Bob Stanfield?

Jacqueline Carter… You’ve always been wrong and in fact you’ve never been right..
Predominately the left appeals to you.!!

Yes, Michael Krchnak, it is worth asking how Andrew Scheer compares to Justin Trudeau.

On what grounds would Scheer defeat Trudeau in a general election?

Welcome aboard Jay… It appears the fog is lifting.

Michael Krchnak,

No, I asked what YOU think socialism is as far as Canada goes. Give me specifics.

Jay…wow, you really are about substance aren’t you?
commented 2017-05-28 23:21:57 -0400
Jack……you asked. What specific socialism are you talking about? Do you even know what REAL socialism is vs. what you think is socialism. A little read for you…..your welcome.
Definition of socialism
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership
and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled
by the state
3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and
distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

Andrew Scheer is a decent man with integrity. He did well as Speaker of the House in his fluency in both languages and in is patience and good judgement.

How does he compare to Trudeau?

Youthfulness: 38 years versus 45
Practicing Catholic: Sincerely versus arrogantly
Bilingualism: about equal, each is more comfortable in English
Media appeal: Scheer has a natural haircut, Trudeau has expensive stylists attend to his.
Smile: Scheer has a permanent grin which seems genuine, Trudeau has a smile
