Vogue magazine takes “stand” against cover model Melania

Amanda HeadRebel Contributor

Appearing on CNN, Vogue magazine's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has declared that she was “taking a stand by refusing to photograph former model Melania Trump for her magazine.

Wintour's tune has changed in recent years, ever since Melania was one of Vogue's cover models back in 2005 after her marriage to Donald Trump.

The first FLOTUS to appear on the cover of Vogue was Lou Henry Hoover back in 1929 and the tradition of publicizing the First Lady has continued with women including Jackie O, Lady Bird, Barbara Bush, Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush and Michelle Obama.

WATCH to hear Melania's response.

Anna Wintour’s little “hissy fit” is going to come back to haunt her, just like the plunging audiences at CNN and the Washington Post and The New York Times… But hey! at least for now “it’s a free country”….

Nothing is more offensive to me than women like Anna Wintour.
This editor in passing disgraces the legacy of the once famous Vogue Magazine. I do not want such an icon of a fashion magazine to spew political attitude of any kind. Vogue isn’t meant to be a gutter rag. Anna Wintour should be fired and the standards which built the brand respected. Where do they get this low intelligence agenda driven riff raff?
Anna Wintour has just alienated a huge Vogue market base.

Vogue is passe. Who dresses like that anymore?
Everyone now wears toques/tukes. They can’t even spell it one way.

Melania is beautiful on the inside and outside, Wintour is ugly on the outside and inside.
Gwen Funk it was a great response and better then they deserved.
