Anne McGrath, the NDP candidate for Calgary-Varsity, is a communist through and through.
She ran as a communist in 1984, at the height of the Cold War, when every hour of everyday Canadians were scared that a nuclear holocaust was imminent. Meanwhile, McGrath thought it was prudent to root for the other team, to represent the ideology of Mao, Stalin, and Marx.
McGrath has been featured in many glowing articles from the Media Party. The CBC once was so blatant (or obtuse) that they outlined each and every campaign she ever ran in, EXCEPT for the Communist Party campaign that McGrath ran in the 1980s, during the Cold War. Notley once told Postmedia that, “Anne understands my thinking on things and we’re very closely connected”. I wonder what the media outcry would be if Jason Kenney said something similar about a radical employee.
While President Ronald Reagan and then Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney were busy arming the Canadian north in the 1980s, strategically protecting North America from a nuclear holocaust - Anne McGrath was fighting for the enemy team.
It is my opinion that running for the Communist Party during the Cold War should be treated akin to supporting the Imperial Japanese or the Nazis in the 1940s.
Radical, dictatorial ideologies have no place in Canada, and people supporting them should be crucified (figuratively) by the media.

Unlike the CBC, The Rebel doesn't get $1.5 billion a year from the government. We rely on the generosity of our audience to help keep us going. Thank you!
April 11, 2019 - Keean rented a billboard truck, personally, to ensure that the residents of Calgary-Varsity knew who their NDP candidate was before they went to the polls on April 16. McGrath can't hide from the truth, as much as she wishes she could.
April 10, 2019 - Keean reports on his plan to expose the Communist past of Anne McGrath, the Alberta NDP candidate in Calgary-Varsity. The media and the NDP want us silenced, so we're bringing the message to Calgary with a massive billboard truck.
April 8, 2019 - A community “All-Candidates Forum” was hosted in Calgary-Varsity this weekend. On Sunday, each candidate running for office (including former communist candidate Anne McGrath) was invited to answer scripted questions in front of a live audience. Afterwards, I spoke to several audience members including a Chinese immigrant who warned of the dangers of socialism.
April 4, 2019 - Messages directly between The Rebel and subreddit moderators on Reddit have confirmed that there was a site-wide filter on all posts with the text string “Anne McGrath”. Further, in McGrath’s censorship plan, residents of Calgary - Varsity have reported that their UCP lawn signs have been stolen — and replaced with NDP signs. It's not clear if the McGrath campaign is behind this but it does have one resident, Joanne Burrows, upset.
April 3, 2019 - Keean Bexte approaches McGrath while she door-knocks in a Calgary community. Not only does she comment on ongoing litigation between The Rebel and the Government of Alberta (of which she is a senior director), she actually called the police on a journalist – for asking her tough questions of all things!
