Anti-techology advocate at Environment Town Hall fit right in with Liberal hypocrites

Rebel Media was barred from Liberal MP Arif Virani’s Environment Town Hall, but a curious little sideshow taking place at the event caught our attention.

A man named Michael Rosenberg who heads up something called, the “Coalition Against Technological Development” was handing out pamphlets entitled “Advancing Technology Causes Scarcity, Poverty and Environmental Damage” at the Swansea Town Hall.

The group is indeed a collective that thinks technology is... bad, but how so? I thought post-industrial revolution our quality of life, on just about every measure, is better?

Nevertheless, Rosenberg’s manifesto makes for a junk-science diatribe, cherry-picking dubious stats in an attempt to prove his ludicrous thesis.

As for his solution? Well, it involves everyone embracing low tech and partying like it’s 1799, when life expectancy was about 35 years and 40 per cent of children died before reaching adulthood.

Ah, the good ol’ days!

I have no idea if Rosenberg was there to support Liberal MP Arif Virani or to criticize him since he wouldn’t speak to us on camera, despite our efforts.

But even though he would presumably like society to embrace the sort of low-tech that’s de rigueur in a Flintstones cartoon, it doesn’t appear he’s walkin’ the walk considering his Xeroxed flyers!

Come to think of it, if Rosenberg isn’t already affiliated with the Liberals, he’d surely fit right in with their “Do as we say, not as we do” philosophy.

Dave said, “Tech is Good, the Tyrannical Left are Bad.
I will never give up anything to the Tyrannical Left – They’re the Problem, not me”

I couldn’t agree more.

They also have a problem perceiving the real world that surrounds them.
They would rather live in a world where unicorns live and roam free and pixie dust powers the world and where there are no Conservatives to remind them that their world view is pure fantasy.

We have a couple leftists that post their idiot comments on this website that live in a fantasy world of their own making. One guess as to who they are.

[…] But.. If not for the Internet……..

The problem with the internet is the people who now control it.
Park your car two blocks away from where you work and if possible, use the stairs rather than an elevator.

All we have to do is turn the anxiety, stress and mayhem that Trudeau’s liberalist globalist crime crew that has forced onto us… is turn it onto them.

Last time I checked.. Self defense is not a crime yet.

Billy Howard.. Pros and Cons.. I feel the same way as you do about the interaction part in those days..

But.. If not for the Internet.. Slimy things like Trudeau.. would already be all full on dictator’s.

While I admit to living the tech life (spending too much time on the cel phone and computer) Rosenberg has a point.
He mentioned 1976. Remember hanging out with friends “in real life”? Or when kids were bored, instead of screen time, they would go outside and walk, run, and generally just wonder, explore, and play? Or how about making an actual effort to “write” a letter to friends or family?
Ahh, the olden days…

Reads like the Unibombers Manifesto… He also hated modern industrial society.
