I think Premier Christy Clark’s Liberal roots are beginning to show with the first government announcement yesterday morning after the US election being that the BC anti-racism networks would receive provincial funding.
To see this announcement the morning immediately following the election of Donald Trump, a man who the dishonest media have falsely accused of being racist, doesn’t surprise me.
Last weekend while I was at the BC Liberal convention, the attitude towards Trump was uniformly negative. Even the more conservative members among them were unwilling to concede that Trump even had a chance of winning, and those who did, blamed it on the racism of white America.
Watch as I look at the substance of the government announcement, what exactly the anti-racism networks are and what they’ll be funded to do.
It appears that the Clark led BC Liberals are moving themselves to the regressive left on these social issues ahead of the next provincial election.
