Monte McNaughton, MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, has led the fight against the new Ontario sex-ed curriculum.
He explains that the "new" curriculum is almost identical to the one that had to be scrapped in 2010.
Back then, when she was Education Minister, Kathleen Wynne promised parents that they'd be consulted on the next version, but McNaughton says parents he's talked to say no such meetings were held.
The lesson plans contain some pretty weird things. For example, children will be taught about sexual consent -- years before they'll be legally able to give consent!
I'm concerned that the fingerprints of Ben Levin, the former deputy education minister who has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, are all over these lesson plans.
