Sweden never ceases to amaze with its stupidity.
In the latest story out of the rape capital of Europe, two asylum seekers are expected to receive £14,000 after being acquitted of killing their daughter.
As Breitbart reports, this is because prosecutors couldn’t decide which parent committed the act.
The report states, “In June of last year, a five-month-old child was found dead in an asylum home in the Swedish town of Sunne.” The mother and father were arrested and put on trial, but because prosecutors couldn't determine who had committed the act, they could receive a cash payment from the government.
During the trial, both the 26-year-old mother and father provided conflicting stories, blaming each other for the infant's death.
“We know the time and place and that one of them did it. But their stories differ greatly and we can not prove which version is true, so there is no way to prosecute anyone,” Prosecutor Barbro Brännlund said.
And despite the mother of the child found lying about her identity in court, she has sought damages of just over £14,000. When the prosecutor attempted to get the amount reduced because the woman had lied, he was denied by the court.
The lawyer of the 20-year-old father is seeking similar damages for his client.
