Australian student freed of hate speech charge but “smear of alleged racism” remains

Calum Thwaites, a university student brought before the Australian Human Rights Commission  after being charged under Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act, is a free man now but not before being put through an Orwellian process with the odds stacked against him.

Watch as Calum explains what happened to him and several others over comments made about an “Indigenous-only computer lab” on Facebook, and makes his case against this type of free speech inhibiting legislation.

The only way this will stop is when we start counter suing and hitting them in the pocket book.
