Barbara Kay: #MeToo movement needs "ground rules" fast

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, National Post columnist Barbara Kay joined me to discuss the #MeToo movement and the need for "ground rules" when making accusations of sexual misconduct.

Last week Patrick Brown, then-leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, resigned after accusations of sexual misconduct from an anonymous source. Now evidence has emerged that the reporter who broke the story is friends with the alleged victim.

Rick Dykstra was forced to step down as president of the PC party, and now NDP MP Erin Weir is facing anonymous misconduct allegations.

WATCH my interview with Barbara to see what rules she thinks are needed to bring the #MeToo movement under control.

The feminazis movement has created a complete distrust of women.

I will not even stand in an elevator alone with a woman any more.

Totally not trustworthy.

There re enough women like this that the good ones are also to be left alone – no sense being beaten up by those who hate men.

If an occurrence took place at work or with another colleague, then I think it needs to be handled in another way. Outside of work, then anything goes.
Men take liberties with women that are not welcomed, encouraged or invited and think they are allowed to do this with and to women.
We don’t want a witch hunt, but zero tolerance needs to be understood. This, of course, will happen when hell freezes over.
Men are particularly free with their whatevers with single women.
Look at Ezra’s story on trans going to women’s prisons.
Men will never change when it comes to women.
I guess that’s why so many women are wanting to raise their children gender neutral, particularly the boys, so they don’t instill any male qualities in their male children.

Hey James… I can see that with the unlimited depths of your personality and overwhelming bubbly effervescence that you bring with you wherever you go that very quickly you’re making friends not only on this thread but the site as well.!!!

John Keller,

Please provide that quote from Harvey Weinstein.

I will wait.

Crockett: projecting much? Just FYI: your Hollywood commie friends ADMITTED to abusing women. Weinstein said everyone knew and no one cared. Yet you seem to support that filth. In this topic we are talking people who say they are innocent. FAct check for you: the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms clearly states that everyone accused is innocent until proven guilty by a FAIR trial. It’s you who don’t live in reality. You are a deluded communist id10t. Why do you troll this site anyway? If you don’t like what the Rebel is about then GFO. No one invited you here.

Regardless, Brown did Ontario a favor.

John Keller,

No actually – living in reality where facts, logic and science actually mean something is great. You should try it sometime, since The Rebel is anti-facts, anti-logic and anti-science.

Hundreds if not thousands of lives were destroyed during the hunt for suspected communists during the Joseph McCarthy era. Many of the allegations were based on pure unsubstantiated rumours or direct malevolence of am accusor for political gain.
The me to movement has some of the same elements and the emotional tactics and herd mentality will no doubt destroy innocent men.
Sometimes I think our elected government has been replaced by media moguls and their army of leftist journalists. They lead the charge with no evidence offered by the accusor. The damage is done even if truth comes out in the end

James Crockett: your blind hate is consuming you. It must suck to be you.

It’s funny how conservatives were full of glee when liberals/Hollywood celebs were being accused and their careers were destroyed, but now that conservatives are being accused as well with the worry that accusations will be made against any conservative politician to stop them from winning elections, conservative NOW feel that something has to be done and there needs to be ground rules?

Absolute hypocrisy.

John Keller,
Also 20 years for the fabricated hijab cutting giving the Asians a bad name.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
commented 2018-02-02 13:17:19 -0500
Accusation by extremely biased radicals should never force anyone to resign from anything or even feel uncomfortable. Accusers should provide evidence of a crime committed, considering the laws at the time when the alleged incidents took place. If no crime can be proven, then they must be held criminally liable for false accusation. Since this has become a political movement, punishment for false accusations should be drastically increased. I would say 20 years in prison should be a good punishment for attempting to destroy an innocent person’s life. Enough of this garbage!

Anonymity for children yes, for adults no…
