I've written my first book, "Barbarians: How The Baby Boomers, Immigration, and Islam Screwed my Generation."

The values that built the west have been forgotten.

Instead, millennials have been raised to hold hedonism above all. Whatever feels good goes.

Freedoms and rights are things for legislators and judges to conjure out of thin air, not precious traditions forged in the crucible of history.

Most millennials reject the nuclear family, and the religious values, that our culture was built on because they resemble some sort of “unenlightened” old world of responsibility and duty that millennials want no part in.BARBARIANS_BOOK.png

The world is on fire.

And my generation gets a lot of the blame for that.

We’re over sensitive, lazy, nihilistic, consumerist brats that have ruined the west and all it stood for.

While I agree with most of those criticisms, I can’t say we’re the ones who started the fire.

In fact, I’m quite confident we’re the generation who will have the chance to contain it - or even put it out.

But before we can do that, we have to expose the frauds, liars, idiots, and above all, Barbarians who threw gas on it.

And I get to naming those names in my new book Barbarians: How the Baby-Boomers, Immigrants and Islam Screwed my Generation.

Hi, I am a subscriber because I believe that the world is going to hell in a hand bag. I have followed Donald Trump for years and have pretty much the same beliefs as he does, I follow InfoWars and have done so for years because , between the rebel and them we pretty much get much of the truth. BUT I am a bommer and I don’t think you should paint us all with the same brush. I am the first one to say our generation screwed the country and world as such. 45 years ago I saw it coming listening to the university types talk. going to the local Bistro and listen to them rant, the hand writing was on the wall, that was a few not the many. So please unless you grew up in that time watch how you put it out there you may piss off your best supports.

Who’s to blame? Good question. My feelings are that it started in earnest with the generation we don’t want to blame, namely the Great Generation or older. In which generation did modern eugenics, abortion, contraception, sexual morals, and consumerism flourish? Kinsey, Sanger et al. Then you had a whole huge number of people born between 1946 and 1964 that amplified all that was thrown at them to no good effect. After that you have my generation, the Gen X that were born into this mess and were youngsters when the full fruition occurred. We went with the flow and most of us gave up because the cesspool was too deep.

What did the Baby Boomers leave us? Abortion, contraception, pornography, and technologically the shortest path to having all those things. Obviously every generation has greatness. The 60’s and beyond saw the first man on the moon, rights finally being fought for and won, and many other important things (go Steve Jobs). Too bad most were negated by the hedonism and selfishness of the same generation and now the rest of us.

My parents (born in the 30s) and my wife’s parents (born in the 40s) did well enough. My dad worked hard and raised a family on one income. Same with my wife’s father. How many single income families do we have today and why do we need everyone to work outside the home? Sure there are lots of new gadgets that we all “need” but I honestly cannot say that my life is significantly better than my dad’s and in many ways it is far, far worse. He at least got to die of old age and cancer but I will probably be euthanized against my will. And I think, quite frankly, that this attitude toward the weak, helpless, and the frail will define our last 3 generations to future ones who look back on us. We consumed, we hated ourselves so much we killed our unborn (or never conceived in the first place—where’s the selfish gene in that?), then we killed ourselves and each other because we were told we were burdens. Good old Huxley eh?

I am a few days late here, but I am afraid I have to continue to disagree with Lauren Southern’s ideas in her book. No, I have not read it, but the title says a great deal. Baby Boomers partly responsible for her problems? That’s a stretch. And for a 21 year-old woman to assume that even we Baby Boomers are responsible for HER troubles is too much to assume. Take another 20 years under your belt, Lauren, and learn the real world we boomers grew up in. Your title says it all – and I think you are just another pretty Megan Kelly (formerly Fox News) wanting to be noticed. I do not apologize, and I thank people like Leviticus 2013 for his observations here. I would not waste my money on a book that suggests that Baby Boomers are responsible for their problems and the problems that Lauren and her generation are suffering under. THEY had their choices to make, just like we did. And if they don’t like the consequences, then tough!

You have great potential, Lauren, but wait and grow up – you don’t get worldly wisdom at 21.

Liza… As well I am not blaming the millennial’s and generation next for the problems that we are suffering in our country today, in my ongoing exchanges with Dave T I simply wasn’t going to let him blame the entire boomer generation for every little thing as he described that is wrong with the country.
Generation X generation millennial generation next have all played their part to bring us where we are today.
The boomers are responsible for the greatest society on the face of the planet.!!
commented 2017-01-08 18:55:21 -0500
My account of the boomer generation is far tighter than your support of all those who are not.!!
commented 2017-01-08 18:53:48 -0500
Liza.. You have been taught to hate yourself I however have not. The boomers built the majority of this country and stocked it with wealth ready to be plundered..
Generation X the millennial’s and generation next, by your own submission can show us how it’s done.!!

Hit the post button too soon. Sorry.
This Book is very quotable, and likely to become one of many “Manifestos” of the new Right.
Any clear thinking Westerner with hope for future generations MUST understand the need to promote, financially back, and otherwise further the rallying cry outlined in this writing.
Godspeed.

Liked the book alot!
Thanks Lauren, forgiving a realistic readable view of what the hell is happening these days.

Just like our generation shouldn’t have been doing all that Angel dust and having all that free love, and if I remember correctly, it was our generation Leviticus who made, ‘fuck off’ a kitchen word. Of course every generation has to take responsibility for their own actions, and I believe as a generation matures, they all pass the baton over to the next one feeling that they did the best that they could. I don’t feel ‘to blame’ for the confusion so many millennials find themselves in these days, however, I don’t think any generation is responsible for the culture they were brought up in from early childhood. They don’t pick their Marxist teachers, helicopter parents or the platter of muck they have to choose from in University studies. They weren’t born gender confused, sjw’s. There is no choice for any generation but to take responsibility for their own progress or regression in the end, I don’t argue that. As a generation becomes of age they realize or not that their success is dependant on their own sorry butts just like every other generation had to do. So when it comes down to it there is only good and bad influence from the previous generations, no blame. I guess my point is people of any generation were not born asshats. SJW’s don’t grow in a bell jar. The whole human race, and every generation is complicit in some way.

Whether or not someone thinks they have something or nothing to apologize for is totally up to them. I certainly don’t ask it. I echo your closing words though, " Let’s see how good of a job they do in the next 30 years."

I stand by my comment asking what value there could possibly be in a criticism, such as calling it ‘trash’ without ever having read the book.
commented 2017-01-07 01:28:51 -0500
Sorry Liza… with all due respect and spoken with soft words. Myself like Joe have nothing to apologize for and refuse to be handed the Bill for what’s wrong in this country.
Boomer generation and the reins over to generation X, the millennial’s and generation next.
We have fought with governments all our lives and that was just to keep a lid on things open till the present day and now we’re tired and old but it’s somebody else’s turn to fight.
If Gen X and millennial’s and
Gen next wish to blame somebody they should blame themselves, maybe they shouldn’t have been eating all that ecstasy and hanging out in raves and telling their parents to go fuck themselves when they tried to show them right from wrong and try to get them involved in the community.. Let’s see how good of a job they do in the next 30 years.

Like they say Lauren ‘there is no such thing as bad press.’ Comments such as the one below will only encourage people to read your book to find out what you were actually blaming millennial’s stupidity on. This is a book written for millennials, so don’t worry about it Joe. Not that us ’boomer’s’ couldn’t gain something from reading it. If you haven’t read the book is there any good value in criticisms?
commented 2017-01-06 22:19:39 -0500
We baby boomers are the people now retired. I do not apologize for or to your generation. We worked hard and earned every penny we have. If you want to list us along with bad immigrants and Islam, you are completely wrong. Go and learn a few truths, Lauren, before you publish trash like this. We are not the barbarians – the barbarians at the gate of civilization are the current two generations, not ours.

Russell Turner… My comment was not directed towards you should you be wondering, but my comment was more directed to those that would let you believe certain things that are the exception to the rule and not the rule of thumb and out and out whiners that can’t deal with the reality of the situation and see it as somebody else’s fault and can only criticize but offer nothing of inspiration how to put ourselves and our country back on track.

Welcome to “genX” and “gen next” which are following right behind the millennials..
Where all the other generations including the baby boomers who are the most productive and successful in the history of our country Will now be held responsible for our current state of affairs.
To all the would-be whiners out there who would blame this on everybody else but themselves please shut up and grab the rope and start pulling in the same direction as everybody else is who is not pulling for the government..!!!!!
“don’t tell me how badly it’s broken or who broke it, as a team let’s figure out how we can fix it "..!!
Less whining from those who are prone to whining and more affirmative-action from people who are like-minded and possibly visionary.!!

What a helpful comment Russell.
lol.
“Someone voted for Obama, Trudeau, Wynne, Notley, and it wasn’t me. " So that makes all millennials responsible, because it wasn’t you? Ridiculous. You blame the crap that went on in the U.S.election on millennials, or ’Southern’s generation’ as you so accusingly put it? Not making a lot of sense there Russell.
commented 2017-01-03 12:27:22 -0500
Someone voted for Obama, Trudeau, Wynne, Notley, and it wasn’t me. And some people were trying to overturn the US election, and acting in way of intolerance, hatred, violence, and that also wasn’t me, but I could see who they were. It was Southern’s generation who voted that way and acted that way.
commented 2017-01-03 03:43:36 -0500
Of course you are going to find some old people that voted liberal. It would sure be nice if the age of retirement went back down to 65.
commented 2017-01-02 19:37:41 -0500
Both Trudeau’s for that matter. There are a lot of old boomer ladies who were smitten with Pierre who are smitten with Justin as well. Ask any academic of any age who they voted for….Justin, as well as most public sector workers.
commented 2017-01-02 19:34:21 -0500
My sixty year old neighbour, a 50 something year old couple down my street and all of my inlaws back east voted for Trudeau. Sad but true. Lots of ‘boomers’ voted for Justin.

There is no bias in representation. It is simply a matter of the east having more people than us in the west.

- Apparently no matter who I am or what my age is, I voted for Justin. Sure, sport. That’s why I’m posting on this forum.
-————————-
Now maybe you can understand my point… You don’t like it that your generation voted for Justin Trudeau even though you didn’t… and I don’t like being blamed for things that I didn’t do either and not unlike yourself take extreme umbrage with that.
Paint people individually with that brush and never generalize with the roller.
commented 2017-01-02 00:20:30 -0500
- You keep calling me a “millennial”, a “monkey” and a “snowflake” over and over, and tell me I know nothing in life – .
. I did call you a millennial I did call you a monkey and I did call you snowflake not over and over just a couple times…
However… I did not say or tell you that “you knew nothing in life..” Maybe you want to go back and read that post again and I won’t have to call you a liar as well..
But I like that term “waving my service in your face”
My father and other members of my family as well as some of his closer friends were veterans of the second world war.. (He was a royal Winnipeg rifle stationed in England)
They never talked about it, they never spoke to anything that they saw or did over there, but once in a while in a rare moment when the planets lined up they would talk amongst themselves once in a while and if you were in earshot you got to hear a story start to finish.
Never would they ask anybody have you seen this, or did you do that or randomly throw it in people’s faces.
One other thing Dave T… Like it or not it’s your generation that’s in charge right now.
I hope you willingly take responsibility for it and your generations mistakes as quickly as you would toss the existing problems of today on the previous generation.
Kind a like Rachel Notley blaming the PC government that was in before them for all of Alberta’s existing problems.
Maybe in the future when you’re not playing the victim you will learn before you jump on a generation of people both feet first for a couple of old men in your life that pissed you off.
commented 2017-01-02 00:03:50 -0500
Dave t…
It sounds to me like you’re now trying to be the victim.!!
Carry on young man you’ve been taught well..
