“Bards of War” is a “military documentary like nothing I have ever seen before” (GUEST: Scott Kesterson)

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

I just saw the new movie Bards of War by Oregon based filmmaker Scott Kesterson.

Kesterson had unprecedented access to the Edmonton based troops of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry for 10 days in Afghanistan. His film is what came of that time – war through the eyes of a soldier and unfiltered through the politically correct military bureaucracy of Trudeau’s government.

It is a military documentary like nothing I have ever seen before.

Kesterson is a former military man and a citizen journalist who was able to use his unique skill set to show Canada’s soldiers in the theatre of war in a raw and honest way, both as professional warriors and as human beings.

Tonight, we talk about what prompted him to make the film, how he was able to embed himself with the Patricias, the roadblocks to showing and distributing his amazing film, and even what he thinks of Omar Khadr.

I’ve done a couple years worth of Gunn Shows and this one just might be my favorite yet.

Sheila – FYI the 2 PPCLI won the Presidential Unit Citation for actions in the Korean War, NOT the 3 PPCLI [which my father served in, in the Korean War, and I later served in, in the Loyal Edmonton Reg’t (3 PPCLI) from ’57 to ’60 before serving in the RCAF from ’67 to ’74.
GREAT show about the “Bards of War” which I WILL be buying.
Yours,
Ed

The treatment of our brave military personnel is reprehensible!

Very true, Bruce. Which raises the question- why would anyone serve in the military these days? Let mr fancy sox fight his own battles for a post -national state (i.e. globalists) if he wishes. If I were a young man I would not be able bodied cannon fodder for these leftist jackasses. But the upside is that tradition being important in the military they would probably side against the Neo-marxist Leftists in the upcoming civil war they are instigating.

The treatment of our brave military personnel is reprehensible! Thanks for having your guest on to tell his story which our profane government wants to stifle. The utter contempt our foppish leader and his Libranos show toward our armed forces is worse than revolting. Let’s hope that every single military person can vote in October against our soulless prime minister.

Excellent interview, as usual, and hats off to Scott and our beloved warriors. Cements further my disgust with this Lib govt and their outrageous treatment of all things Canadian military.

Thank you for the fantastic interview, I definitely will be buying the documentary!

I’ve never felt prouder of our Canadian military!

I’ll have to see this movie. This is needed in the face of the Liberal hate for Canada’s military. Of course the Liberals are opposed to this film – they clearly side with the terrorists, not those who fight against them. I just bought the movie & am looking forward to watching it.

The thing that struck me the hardest about this great interview with Scott Kesterson, was how little I know about Canada’s role and the role of the individual Canadian soldier, in war and specifically, in Afghanistan…the Canadian soldier’s heroism and efforts seems to have been covered up or suppressed…like the Afghan memorial that was covered up or suppressed recently by Jihadi-Justin-Groper’s Liberals. WTF?!
Lots of similarities with the way the pro-life film “UNPLANNED” has been ‘banned’ in Canada, to how those guilty – lefty distributors – are censoring Scott and his film…WTF?!

I sure as hell am getting sick and tired of the elites (5 P Professionals) trashing my country…it’s time to trash the elites!

Good interview and good video clip Sheila. One thing I did notice though, these guys were using what appeared to be a five second timer on the meat grinders. In a situation like this I would have set the timer down to three seconds, the thrower has plenty of time to step aside in to cover and the target dose not have time to pick up the grenade and toss it back out. Just a thought.

Maurice Potvin you got that right, Justin and his hacks think those attributes are evil.

Thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Scott Kesterson! I absolutely loved his knowledge and take on Liberal governance and the fact that a Canadian (I have an idea of who it was) news outlet didn’t want anything to do with the truth of Canada’s military and its personnel. I sincerely hope Scott will be able to get Bards of War shown in Canada as Canadians need to see it and feel pride in our warriors. Trudeau and his regime minions disgust me in their attempts to play down Canada’s military…..from my lips to God’s ears may they be mightily defeated in October never to rise again.

Great interview, Sheila. Our soldiers are second to none and understand concepts like honor, loyalty, duty, corsage… unlike Trudeau and his traitorous cabinet.
