Is BBC presenter Catie Munnings vying for a gig with the Trudeau Liberals? I’m wondering because in a recent report, the 20-year-old host of Catie’s Amazing Machines referred to “snowmen” as “snowpeople.”
Yes, from merry ol’ England itself, the realm that gave the world the English language, a new-and-improved politically-correct English word was invented right before our eyes when Munnings said:
“Snow is amazing. You get to build snowpeople and go sledging.”
Munnings was mercilessly mocked on social media for this PC snow-job, but I bet Trudeau himself, our PC-PM, wanted to reach out and grope, er, shake hands with Ms Munnings for her sensitivity around gender neutral language.
What next? Fire-folks? Police-folks?
Just give them time. We at the Rebel predicted this snow business two years ago when we ventured out to that paragon of political correctness known as the University of Toronto to construct our “snowpeople” exhibit.
And in the #MeToo era, the climate for snowmen has only become more … Frosty.
