B.C. woman's “David and Goliath” battle against government seizure of her land (GUEST: Dayleen Van Ryswyk)

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Recently, I was contacted by a woman Dayleen Van Ryswyk. She told me an incredible story:

That for almost ten years, the government of British Columbia has been seizing her land, and trying to keep it a secret. Her family has been driven into debt trying to fight back.

When I asked her for proof, Dayleen handed me a binder of supporting documents. What I read was shocking.

TONIGHT, she joins me to make her case. This story should terrify every Canadian.

I feel sorry for her and even more so that she was a Leftist supporter. The question now is, is she still a Leftist? Does she still support the NDP or whatever socialist party there is? Has she learned for m her mistakes or is she upholding the Three Pillars of Leftiedom? If she is still a leftist then let her enjoy the fruits of her “Labour”.

Jamie, yes this is the same person as in your post, why she ran for the NDP is beyond my understanding especially as she is an independent business woman. DVR’s troubles started almost 8 years ago,and though the Right is now trying to make this out to be a failure of the current government, the situation existed for six years while the Liberals were in power. Libs,Dippers, and PC’s are all against property rights, seems the PPC is the only Party interested at all.

- This is why government needs to be reigned in. The bigger it gets, the more of this we’ll see & the worse it’ll get. BC puts in one far left government after another – this is the result.

If this is the same Dayleen Van Ryswick, my sympathy has just been lowered a notch or ten. Six short years ago she wanted to represent the Party that most strenuously objected to the inclusion of property rights in the Charter of Rights.

“New Democratic leader Adrian Dix accepted the resignation of Kelowna-Mission candidate Dayleen Van Ryswyk, …”

Dear Dayleen,
I don’t know the details of your case, and I wish you the very best of luck, but what I’m about to say isn’t going to raise your spirits.

From 2003 till about 2010 the County branches of the Ontario Landowners’ Association tried in a myriad of ways to alert farmers and rural property owners to the fact that their vestigial property rights were being crushed, their land-use curtailed, and their livelihoods endangered by steam-rolling legislation designed to appease parasitic ENGOs and to make clueless urban voters feel good.

Initially the response was good: farmers and landowners showed up to help us block highways and to protest in front of Parliament and Queen’s Park. But the governments knew that the quickest way to a farmer’s heart was a cheque….or maybe even just the promise of a cheque. And as soon as they started talking about compensation for BST losses and bringing in crop risk management programs, they all parked their tractors in front of their mail boxes and let the parasites leading their farm organizations continue to rubber stamp more of the very same legislation that was designed to strangle them.

So here’s where ‘m going with this, Dayleen. You can expect zero support from anyone. Canadians – and that includes Canadians who make a living on their lands – have demonstrated time and time again that they don’t give a shit about their own property rights, let alone those of their neighbours.

If Kenney has not ousted these Marxist NDP sons of bitches from government when is he going to do so? I for one say that I am extremely disappointed with the UCP.

Then they hand it over to some Chinese for a song and a kickback. Karma is coming for these scum.

The Government boots are becoming to small…..How long will it be before they take all the land. This reminds me of London UK, when you buy a house there you often do not own the land that it sits on, it is leased from the Government. You are free to take the house away, brick by brick but forget the land. I think it was a 99 year lease.

Government thugs that force us to fight against our own tax dollars.

Please provide the link to the video so we can forward it to everybody. People need to see this woman’s video and the way the BC government is shafting her.

It’s too bad someone like Jody Wilson Raybould or Jane Philpott wouldn’t take on some of these cases and give them the public attention that’s needed to get them resolved. (Of course, there’s the SNC Lavelin connection with this one.)
These two women could be cleaning up the messes the govt makes and become the Joan of Arc needed because they’ve been there and know how the govt works.
