BC NDP get cracking on Day One: Partisan staff and gender-balanced cabinet in the works

Christopher WilsonRebel Commentator

Today, the BC NDP and John Horgan are sworn in as the next government of British Columbia.

Last week, I told you about a new bureaucracy within the Premiers office that is being created so the NDP and Green Party can manage their working agreement as the Greens have committed to prop up the NDP on all supply and confidence matters.

That's not sitting well with the BC Liberals so Vancouver-Qulichena MLA Andrew Wilkinson wrote a letter yesterday to the Comptroller General to complain about this new position.

Watch as I show you what he said in that letter and share the statement he provided to The Rebel.

If that’s not enough, it looks like John Horgan is taking inspiration from Justin Trudeau as he gets set to unveil his gender-balanced cabinet today.

And, it was reported that the NDP have fired around 125 government staff who despite being appointed by the BC Liberals were fiercely non-partisan. The way this happened means they’ll be entitled to a cushy severance of up to 18 months.

The NDP hadn’t even been sworn into government and they’re already feeding at the taxpayer trough.

Sad.

Pallister just said he wanted more support from the federal government to handled all those border jumpers. He has been pretty useless at stopping it.

Space Moose – what is Pallister saying about the invasion taking place at the border? If I were him, I’d hire a pack of vicious guard dogs and chase those rats back to the states.

Meanwhile, in Ontario, Siemens is closing their wind turbine plant because the government subsidies have dried up. Word is the 340 “green” jobs associated with the plant are going to Alberta where the public cash still flows freely. Isn’t Butt’s alternate economy grand?

The fourth horseman of the Canadian economic apocalypse mounts up.

Pallister is a douchebag. All of his energy has been focused on fighting the unions. He is giving the unions the finger by gutting the health care system. 3 emergency rooms, 1 urgent care facility, and all but 1 quick clinic are getting the axe. Pallister is blaming the cuts on the federal government not giving more money for health.

And somewhere in this mess, Pallister kicked Steven Fletcher out of the party. If Fletcher gets his way, he will start his own party and poach a number of other MLAs. Assuming he can fight the crossing the floor bill in court.

Pallister has not said much about the carbon tax, except for murmuring some reservations.

Right now the province can’t even get its act together to repair that much needed rail line to Churchil. God I feel sorry for those people up there.

Aside from Brad Wall, Pallister is the only conservative Premier. He is a pretty middle of the road conservative by the looks of it. Rather inconsequential to date. Do you think he can hold the province Space Moose?

All of a sudden, Pallister doesn’t seem so bad.

…or a bunch of eastern transplant envirofeminazis. Gender balanced at the expense of talent. Here we go again.

I can’t even look. It breaks my heart.
I agree Lloyd, you about said it all.
I have hardly commented on all of the BC commentaries,it is just too raw right now.
I don’t know how much longer Brad Wall can hold out in Sask. The NDP get in there again and its officially ‘all over Canada’.
We can thank Christie Clark for whoring to the Chinese though.
What a messed up country.

Can you imagine if prime minister HARPER didn’t bother to show up at the fire disaster in bc to check things out. , lend moral support and financial aid

Then the Chinese will show up eventually with some big bolt cutters

You guys are more screwed than we are in Alberta.
I don’t understand how this can happen. It’s not fair. The liberals won the election but got bullied out. Do it again.
I love how the NDP burn down the province as soon as they get in power

Looking forward to tomorrows report
I disagree with your assessment of the CRIMEMINISTER being at odds with the dipper greens on kinder Morgan
Dippers control the ports to export the oil
The ab dippers control the source of the oil
The liebranoes control the leagall permission
The destroyers have won the trifecta
It’s a perfect combination lock

What’s that sucking noise? It’s the NDP firing up their shop vac and they’re looking for your money. Never mind the fires, they’re all Liberal ridings so who cares about those people anyway.
