BC’s political donations system with no limits on corporate, individual or union donations is a problem. And the BC Liberals cash for access style dinners are awful but the hypocrisy of the BC NDP demanding an end to these types of donations while accepting $672K in 2016 from the Steelworkers Union alone, is incredible.
When digging deeper into the $672K from the United Steelworkers it appears as though around $270,000 of it came from their Pittsburgh head office.
Watch as I show you how I found out that 40% of this single year record donation came from the U.S. to interfere in our BC election.
This is the number one issue the BC Liberals and Premier Clark just don’t want to talk about this election, but should they hold on to power on May 9th, Premier Clark needs to embrace the spirit of former Prime Minister Stephen Harper when he reformed the political donation rules federally.
Completely ban corporate and union donations, then create an individual cap on yearly donations.
