Beer battle rages on: Second court injunction granted over Notley NDP’s illegal markups

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator

On Tuesday, both Ontario based Steam Whistle and Saskatchewan based Great Western Brewery, were granted injunctions on the second markup scheme that the Alberta NDP implemented in August.

This means they don’t have to pay the increased markup fee that went up to $1.25 for all breweries regardless of product origin.

This is the second injunction that Steam Whistle has been granted as a result of the NDP’s unconstitutional markups, meaning that that these taxes are illegal under the constitution.

The NDP are also facing an Agreement on Internal Trade Challenge due to their illegal tax and grant system, which is a much shorter process. That challenge was launched by the Canadian Constitution Foundation and local importer, Artisan Ales.

The additional costs the government puts on the breweries, are then passed on to us, the consumers.

The NDP are the root of the problem with three court challenges so far and likely, more to come.

Peter Netterville… Never in any of my posts have I attempted to be rude to you and now I feel like you’re putting words in my mouth and generally just trying to be a prick as this is not the first time you’ve done this to me.
But I will give you the benefit of the doubt and to convince myself you are not trying to be a prick.
I am not a leftist trolling the site nor do I engage in confrontations with the mostly good people of this site for any of their opinions.
so I personally don’t think you’re a prick I just think that you chose your words poorly. I will get over the cheap shot that you threw at me and treat you the same as anybody else who has not been a prick to me.

Leviticus said, “With all due respect we do not need Rachel Notley’s permission to secede for separation.”

If you think my comment had anything to do with asking Notley for permission you are not all that bright.

When I first read the headline I was hoping it was a reference to the outrageous Freedom of Information Charges.

Excellent post Mark Chadwick… BTW…" The all due respect" was for Peter Netterville not Rachel Notley. however Mark… We would never be an independent country if we had to borrow money to separate. We have enough resources in the ground and on the ground and above the ground to supply our own financial means to do so without owing anybody anything..

Now that Trump is in,you will get the money you need to separate from Canada and I would not blame you.But first you have to separate from the NDP and Nutty. She does not deserve all due respect.

When the NDP said on their running platform “vote for change” they weren’t kidding because your dollars will be in their pockets and all that will be left in yours is “change”
Notley may go down as the worst premier Alberta ever had but she also might be the catalyst which pulls Western Canada together and separate from central authority.!
Get er done.!

Peter Netterville…
Who gives a shit .. let’s just get out of this insane arrangement with central Canada as well as make sure that the citizens of our brand-new country have a constitution that controls and limits politicians in their ambitions and attempts at overreach..!!
Get er done..!

Leviticus, Western separation is irrelevant to stopping Notley. The West needs to get rid of the witch first, then separate.

Now hopefully the power and coal companies will take Rachel Notley to court for the same reason that the beer companies did..
The electricity producers have a contract as well otherwise known as a “PPA
This as well is a legal document for the energy producers and hopefully it will stand in court or be in court longer than the NDP’s tenure and once again commonsense can reign
in a post NDP Alberta.

Tax & spend Tax & spend Tax & spend Tax & spend.
This is all the NDP know.. !!
Vote WR and let’s make sure the NDP is banished to
oblivion and never be able to tempt the low information people with “vote forchange”
The globalists lost their prize in the USA with the Donald Trump victory so you can bet that they are going to double down on their efforts for Canada and that can only mean more stupidity from our federa and provincial administrations.
Western separation may become critical to western survival.

The Non-Democratic Party will have learned the lesson from the court injunctions on two unconstitutional tax hikes and will spring into corrective action.

of course, That action will be to introduce a third illegal tax hike. After all, it is the psyche of the regressive left, “If an action fails twice then repeat it, because third time is the charm!” If the third time fails, there is always a fourth try. And etc, etc, etc…
