Ben Shapiro on Trudeau, Free Speech, & Culture Wars

Rebel Staff

Ben Shapiro was in Toronto for the Canadian Freedom Summit, so I met up with the conservative icon for an interview.

We covered a range of topics including freedom of speech on campus, abortion, Justin Trudeau, and more!

WATCH my interview to hear Ben's opinions on these issues, and what he thinks conservatives need to do to win the culture war.

@Bill Elder said “Although I always considered Shapiro a bit of a flake who plays a polemicist roll for profit more than ideology, he always has some interesting things to say which provoke the triggered left. I’m curious about the wearing of the yarmulke in public , is he signalling he’s really a “Neo-Cohen”?”

In much the same vane Bill I have always figured that George Soros favourite composer was Felix Medelsome…….:-)

One night back in the early 1970s at Nuit Magique cabaret (where I had a loft/studio on the seventh floor Leonard Cohen quipped to me that he wanted his cremated ashes (along with those of two other namesake relatives) scattered in the fountain at Place Vauqualin beside the Old Montreal Hotel de Ville so that there would be three Cohens in the fountain….:-)

We should rejoice that in the current climate across North American, at the emergence of personalities like Peterson and Shapiro in each of your countries. These type of people are not the outcome Postmodern teaching nannies had in mind!

Ben certainly has some things right, but he is wrong about the Julius Caesar protest ( as well as a few other things and people). It absolutely was tit for tat. Making use of the stupid tactics the left uses on us so the world can see their hypocrisy. Bunch of crybabies.
Of course free speech is ALL speech. In Canada the play and mock beheading would be considered inciting hatred and you would be investigated, which is not free speech. You have to admit that ‘beheading’ and stabbing ‘presidents’ onstage is extremely poor taste and rather goes beyond disrespecting but the point was, is, and will be again, the gloves are off. The patriots are going to start using the tactics of the snowflakes. If its good enough for the goose its good enough for the gander.

Ben is spot on about our PM’s intelligence level, and his totalitarian implementations to date, as well as Wynne’s bill 86. Evil was the word he used and they are indeed evil.
Lock them up !( before they start locking us up)
Ben, get a Canadian to explain that to you if need be, it’s an inside joke.

Bill Elder, I don’t know about your reference… Ben usually wears a yarmulke.
I attended a few years of public school, and, this was common with Jewish boys.

The Great Trumpian Annexation!
I wonder how many Canadians perked up when they heard that hopeful phrase, and how many of those can’t believe they felt that way…

I loved the video Glenn Craig & wasn’t that too bad, Hilary lost, bah wah wah. I was laughing because it was about time they got what they deserved. Conservatives had to put up with Obama, while they fawned & treated him like a God, well finally some people woke up & they had to start eating some of their BS, only in their case , they went off the deep end.

Mette Reed that’s true it is also true for anyone that voted for Trudeau .
I’m ashamed of our country and more so for our 150th . I will party down once Trudeau gets the boot .
Maurice I got a good laugh from your comment .

Ya hah hah. Who isn’t more qualified than Justin? My 12 year olds smarter. The annexation should start in Alberta. Fuck them quebecers and Ottawanabees.

Just as a bit of background, Ben Shapiro’s TV debute was on Larry King at age 12 playing the theme from Schindler’s List. He wowed the audience like Mozart. One of his detractors…I forget who …said that Ben never had a childhood…but poped out of his mother and hit the ground a full fledged cynic….they said the same thing about me…so I always related to Ben.

Great interview, Jay! Always appreciate what Ben Shapiro has to say! And, ya, anyone with a brain knows that Trudeau isn’t too bright!

I disagree with Ben Shapiro on one point; Trudeau is not as intelligent as a kumquat. A kumquat is far more intelligent.

Ben Shapiro played the violin beautifully.
