Bernard the Roughneck talks unity, leadership, and pipeline politics

Christopher WilsonRebel Commentator

With the Wildrose Party set to vote on July 22nd on merging with the PC Party of Alberta I thought we would catch up with our old friend Bernard Hancock, better known as Bernard the Roughneck.

Watch our interview on a number of topics including the importance of the unity vote, the challenge of the 75% threshold, and the potential wildcards at play.

We also discuss the leadership race that would follow and how it may not be just the two horse race many once predicted.

Finally, we discuss the impact of the BC election on the Kinder Morgan pipeline and what it might look like if construction began as planned in September.

Bernard’s insights are always a welcome change from the disingenuous blathering of politicians. Things are really as simple as Bernard portrays them. sometimes I think pundirs/politicians/experts purposely over-complicate straight forward issues because they’re in love with their own egos. Action, not talk! Right Bernard?

Ah…the honest hard-assed philosophical insight of the blue collar worker. It cannot be beat. Sheila, Tommy, and Bernard all speak to truth from the reality of life.
