Hey farmers, you know who wants to tell you how to run your farms? The Calgary and District Labor Council.
The NDP started asking for input about Bill 6 - their safety law that put bankers hours and union rules on thousands of Alberta family farms. No farmer wanted this law. I couldn't even find a real farm worker who wanted it after months covering this bill.
More specifically the NDP says now that “Albertans are being encouraged to provide input on how provincial labour laws could apply to farms and ranches.”
Fifteen months after the NDP hastily shoved this law down farmers throats, they want the public's input.
Enter the Labour Council representing 60 unions with 44,000 members, who think urban unionized lefties know best. They’re driving participation to the NDP’s consultation process, putting a call out to their supporters to meddle and also offering incentives to participate in a farm and ranch survey.
Watch as I show you what was on the union’s Facebook page. Big unions are stacking the responses to the farm and ranch workers survey that has nothing to do with them and everything to do with farmers.
But, these typical lefties can’t even meddle in someone else's business for free! Bill 6 affects farmers and unions are running it like a call in to win contest.
The NDP will point to this fake survey stacked with union responses and say it’s what the public wants farmers to do. And farmers will have to live with it.
