Boeing: Corporate welfare gives Bombardier unfair advantage

Eric DuhaimeRebel Commentator

In the wake of the scandalous executive salary increases I reported on earlier, Bombardier faces new accusations of profiting from Quebec corporate welfare.

Boeing is accusing Bombardier of enjoying an unfair competitive advantage, but that's just scratching the surface.

WATCH this first of many reports from me this week, about how some investors are finally waking up to how badly managed Bombardier is.

Eric Duhaime—I notice your strategy of taking the 20,000 name petition directly to the Company instead of the morons that gave them our money, the Federal and Provincial Liberals.
The Governments involved may consider skipping over them an insult . Good !

Anyone that expresses surprize at the corrupt behaviour of Liberals and their crony corporate welfare recipients would also be shocked to walk into a MacDonald’s Restaurant and discover they sell hamburgers.
When Canadians will stop funding Bombardier on the same day they renounce beer and hockey . And we know that day will never come , EH.

“Bobardier is married in to the Liberal party, this should explain everything.”

So very true.
Speaking of the Libtards, what I stated when Justin first was elected apparently now is becoming reality:
Trudeau government close to breaking all-time record for per-capita federal spending: Fraser Institute
Two posters to that article hit it spot on:
“In 1984 PET had a budget deficit of 8-9% of GDP just because he could. In 2008/09 Harper ran a budget deficit of 4% of GDP during the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression when the NDP and Liberals threatened his minority government with a non confidence vote. He had no choice.
France and Great Britain, for example, also ran budget deficits of 8-9% in 2008/09 as well, so Harper’s deficit was quite modest in comparison. Justin Trudeau is now letting program spending rip for no apparent reason other than he can, while still cutting spending to areas like national defense (just like PET).”
“Translation: Historical high level of debt, followed by historical high level of taxation.”

Its called “The Quebec Model” of business practices. No. Really. That is what it is called.

Before Boeing gets its panties in a knot, we should all remember that many of its plane designs were subsidized as “military projects”. Example, the 707 was originally designed to be an air refuelling airship. The design, et cetera, was paid for mostly by the US government. After the planes were ordered for the government, a floor and windows, and a few comforts were added to the basic design and voila, a world class/world leading commercial jet. And it barely cost Boeing much in research and development.

But seriously, over five million a year for the CEO and 48% increase in board members’ compensation for a money losing company? There is no shame amongst those who act like thieves.

People wonder why PM Baby Doc takes 10 vacations a year on the taxpayer’s dime, along with paying for just about anything else such as taking in-laws along on “government” trips. He gave himself a raise while putting us $40 billion in the hole. He knows The Quebec Model very well.

Lloyd, I believe that if we had no corruption in Qc., we would not need all that equalization money, or maybe none. We have a bunch of leftist welfare abusers but also a bunch of hard-working people. We had a commission 3 yrs ago about the corruption in public works contracts, that costed $45 millions, where many mayors were involved, the Liberal provincial gov’t, ministers, engineering firms, construction cos., manufacturing cos., and on and on. Only one mayor was jailed, 2 others are facing charges, and the permanent anti-corruption police that we now have is still investigating. Once a year, they seize papers in some cos., as if the cos. still have the papers. This is a total farce. There was also corruption brieftly discussed about corruption on computer/software contracts, but this has disappeared by magic. We have the Liberals for almost 16 years now in power. We can’t get rid of them because of mass immigration and the leftist bunch, and the alternative may be worse. Some people were so disgusted with being stolen for so long, that when in whatever business, they incorporate it and start stealing too. I heard that maybe up to 40%-50% of small businesses hide revenues to pay minimum taxes. The people though that have a T4 are taxed at insane rates. This is what our province has become. At one point, when the institutions in place are filled with thieves, everything becomes corrupted.

Boeing has had a hate on for Bombardier ever since they used grant money to build a fake production facility in the US so they could qualify for bidding on US aerospace contracts.

They really are not a player – their quality is a running joke in the industry.

KEITH , I think bombardier is a mistress to the Liberals , the fed Liberals have mistresses , like the mayor of Montreal, and Iam sure CAROLE knows a lot of the other mistresses , that all of Canadian taxpayers chip in for their little romps together

This is the type of crony capitalism that we live under here in Qc., the most corrupted system of Canada. That company should have died a long time ago or move entirely to Mexico. Oh but no, they stick around because they know that they can have all the taxpayers money that they want. The average compensation for a public co. In Canada was around $100,000 the last time I checked. Those thieves are paying themselves $5 Millions. I am so disgusted with these scandals going on forever and nothing happens. We, the slaves, pay to enrich those rich bastards even more. Enough is enough.
But I have a question: if the international court finds Bombardier guilty, will Canada be fined or the co.?

Eric Duhaime, excellent report. I look forward to your updates.
Like so many Canadians, I was disgusted to learn what Trudeau’s bailout translated into, a mismanged business with their hand out over and over again. It must stop, and Bombardier should be ordered to return all taxpayer’s money. No wonder Boeing is taking action!
