In the aftermath of the bizarre story that broke in October about the plight of Canadian Joshua Boyle and his American wife, Caitlin Coleman, so many unanswered questions linger.
But as I lamented in this space back then, don’t expect the mainstream media to do any investigative journalism for fear of coming across as culturally insensitive.
The media played the story like a feel-good movie-of-the-week, about a young North American family rescued from the clutches of an evil terrorist group whisked home to safety.
But from the get-go, almost nothing added up, and now we know Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Boyle and family last month.
The PMO said no details would be released “due to privacy considerations and respect for the family.”
But earlier this week, another bombshell dropped...
Perhaps now is a good time for the mainstream media to ask some tough albeit uncomfortable questions about this odd couple?
