“BBC tax”: Women, blind “viewers” hardest hit during annual money grab

On last night's show, I reported on the British government's crackdown on citizens who fail to pay a BBC tax.

The BBC tax comes to £145 pounds per home, or $230 CDN. More than 200,000 Brits are prosecuted each year for failing to pay this tax, 70% of whom are women.

This isn't a tax that's going towards vital services like infrastructure or the military, it's funding the salaries of millionaire celebrities and bizarre websites like BBC Pidgin.

WATCH my video to see how British taxpayers are funding a website in a fake language, and why Canadians should worry about the CBC taking a lesson from their UK counterpart.
