Brown’s sex-ed reversal could spell trouble for PCs in Ottawa-Vanier byelection

Brian LilleyArchive

Patrick Brown and the Ontario Progressive Conservatives are making some good moves in pushing Kathleen Wynne's Liberals on hydro prices and bribery charges, but past decisions may be costing him at a crucial time.

The PCs have their best shot in decades to win the riding of Ottawa-Vanier but Brown's decision to reverse course on opposing Wynne’s sex-ed curriculum, could be costing him.

Several other candidates on the right are running, including two pushing the sex-ed issue hard.

I hope those from the west (Alberta) realize that BC would not be joining you in your separation from Canada. Do you actually think you would be able to go it alone with Sask and Manitoba – not exactly provinces rolling in dough and opportunity. You would need BC big time.

It’s also hilarious that you claim to be for Canadian values – values which include a country that has been pretty liberal when it comes to social issues from the 60’s on to today – we have always been more laid back compared to America, but when you don’t get your way or you are unwilling to compromise with liberals, you are more than happy to leave Canada and let the country burn as far as you are concerned.

The Canada you want is not what the majority of Canadians want and what Canada has been for decades now. It’s like you have all been in coma and finally woke up in 2016 and don’t recognize what’s always been here.

I just hope the federal conservatives are paying attention. Nobody wants to have to vote for a cino. A progressive will vote Liberal and a conservative will form a new party. A conservative in name only is as useless as teats on a bull. Brown is a huge disappointment.

Out here in the country, all the kids are singing:

Paddy Brown
His pants fell down,
And every one could see,
A tiny pair
With peach-fuzz hair,
And green as green can be.

I make it a point to broach this Sex-ed bill subject to almost every person I speak too and I have not found one, not one single person in favor of it… most people have no knowledge of it… and what can we glean from that.
Bought and paid for media that’s what… only giving the sunny news.
So folks tell everyone and don’t ever be afraid to voice your opinion, this is what the people we will honor on Nov 11 fought and paid the ultimate price for, don’t let their sacrifices be in vain.

LOL, the paid troll introduces yet another new alias, wonder how long this one will last. It is clear that the Libs are concerned, their troll either attacks or spouts Lib propaganda on most articles now no matter what the article is about with a fevered pitch (the stink of desperation is barely concealed).

@ezrasux…the fellow to which you refer is in no way having his freedom of speech curtailed. He will be free to repeat what he said in court. In fact he can still say it now if he still believes ir is true. When he is in court he can present as part of his defence that he honestly believed the accusation to be true.

If Ezra can prove there was financial loss as a result of what was said , that has legal penalty.

Without seeing any of the paper trail and taking on faith what has been presented in the media, I would have to conclude that this fellows allegations were false.

People SLAPP sue Ezra all the time…he got fed up and started doing it back.

Keep your Ezraphobic hate speech out of this safe space………:-)

I think real conservative’s need to dog Patrick Brown until he steps down as the conservative leader. He’s an appeaser and needs to be booted, so that the conservatives can take out the trash, and start rebuilding ON.

If that law is passed, it will be a huge, and i mean HUGE blow to our Canadian freedoms we hold so dear.
I predict if by some miracle they manage to get it through there will be a revolt and not a small one either, I have been hearing that from many people.

Ontario is such a toilet now and the politicians no better than a floral deodorizer that hangs in the bowl. They do not clean the bowl but rather give off a smell only. Given time the creditors will eventually flush that toilet of a province because the debt will no longer be sustainable. Too many reds in the party pretending to be blue, more concerned with keeping their spot at the trough than anything else. The NDP are no better, Horwath is Wynne’s shadow, their policies are basically the same. Brown is now competing with Horwath to be Wynne’s shadow. Voting for a box of rocks would probably be a smarter move than voting for any of the current politicians in Ontario. A new party is needed or major house cleaning.

July 20, 2015 – Ontario is now the world’s most indebted sub-sovereign borrower:

Leviticus 2013 says,“Why in gods good creation would we join the US?” I would like to see the entire west of Canada and the US separate from their Eastern half. We have far more in common with each other than our existing brethren. Too bad the continent was divided as it was. Maybe we can promote the idea with the western state governors.

As a liberal plant, Patrick Brown represents the latest liberal strategy. They are popping up in conservative parties all over the country.

Patrick Brown is a Traitor. He got in good favor with the voters by supporting the conservative agenda and then switched sides and became a Liberal but didn’t have the guts to actually walk across the floor to the Liberal Benches. I will not vote for him, because he is such a turncoat on the one issue of the sex ed curriculum. If I help put him in the Premiers Chair the question is. How many other issues will he make a 180 on in the future when he is Premier? Because right now this little Weasel doesn’t look any different than a Liberal Dictator, especially if he is purging anyone who opposes his position. The Party needs to Purge Brown, if not it may come back to bite them later.

Levi said, “Why in gods good creation would we join the US..”

1. If for no other reason than to get resources to tide water. Do you really think BC would join Alberta in separation? And if not, then how much harder would it be to get a pipeline through BC once separated. If Alberta became a US state, any pipeline could not be blocked by the president’s office because then it would not have to cross international borders.

2. The US dollar is more stable, strange as that seems. Canada’s economy even with Trudope at the helm is still more stable than the US, but yet the US dollar is stronger. Go figure.

To name a couple.

Peter Netterville… Why in gods good creation would we join the US..
When we say the west stands alone we actually really mean it… I like the US I like the US people but I would not be willing to trade one regime for another as opposed to unbridled freedom in our new country with our own laws and elected statesman.

Drew said, “the west needs to go it alone”

I would like nothing better. Heck, if Trump wins, joining the US would even be a better prospect than the shit (and financial raping) that we get from Eastern Canada now.
commented 2016-11-03 21:41:14 -0400
the west needs to go it alone, leave the left wing fools to their own demise.

Ontario needs to start a real conservative party. They need to get on it right away. The first thing is to get a real conservative as leader. Patrick lied and I don’t like liars, and someone that flip flops on important issues. He’s Wynnie’s shadow, and that can only spell more pain and heartache for ON.
commented 2016-11-03 20:58:12 -0400
It is strange . When you are a Conservative that actually cares about your Country and don’t want to waste money on Useless stuff —-the Media will shoot you Down . If you are a Liberal and your main objective in LIFE is to obliterate any signs of Canadian Culture or Pride—- money is No object.

Since when have a Politicians promises meant anything? Give Brown a chance . He is attempting to figure out a way to win. I don’t care what he promises the blood-suckers—- long as he doesn’t follow thru .
commented 2016-11-03 20:23:05 -0400
Ottawa Vanier is public sector parasite central command – to “win” this riding a common sense popuist would have to sacrifice every decent value and public responsibility ethics they have – no wonder Brown has a shot he’s a jello-spined chameleon.

A Brown government will be like Wynne light – either restructure the PCs or cash them in for a more populist alt right solution. Ontario needs a Trump to speak truth to power and represent the repressed majority
commented 2016-11-03 20:00:55 -0400

Yes, that is a high possibility for sure. And it is a conundrum, but is voting in a PC party that will do the same things as the Liberals any different except the Premier will be talking is a baritone voice … and not have to strap on the equipment when he “does it”?

I fell the Ontario Conservatives’ pain. Truly I do, being from Alberta. There does not seem to be any easy fix … that doesn’t involve lead.
commented 2016-11-03 19:54:58 -0400
That is true—Peter —but— it would be rather nice to Win for a change. If people follow your advice—-Wynne will Win —-again.
commented 2016-11-03 19:45:31 -0400
OK ok—— Do you really think that Conservatives have a hope in hell of winning in Ont—- even with Wynne so low in the polls , —-unless we embrace some of this crazy bull shit? We are a lot further Gone than Alberta.
commented 2016-11-03 19:36:41 -0400
Patrick Brown is just a socialist/regressive wearing a blue tie. He needs to be kicked from the PC party and all those that agree with his agenda.
commented 2016-11-03 19:34:33 -0400
If Patrick Brown if for the sex ed. curriculum, then he is not a Conservative. Conservatives believe in the family unit and this sex ed. curriculum is not conductive to the family unit at all.
commented 2016-11-03 19:32:29 -0400
Brown lost my vote when he expressed support for a carbon tax. The sex- ed fiasco just solidified my disappointment. Libertarian party here I come.
commented 2016-11-03 19:31:35 -0400
Patrick Brown strikes me as rather charmless, maybe even somewhat repellant. I’m sure that I’m projecting my personal dislike for his policies (supporting the sex-ed initiative, lying about it, supporting a carbon tax, and so on) but still … he is on the charmless side, don’t you think?
commented 2016-11-03 19:29:38 -0400
I meant that Conservatives are squabbling over stupid stuff . Hows about 2 or 3 Conservative Parties on the Right. Just so that we can vote —-1 ,2, 3.
commented 2016-11-03 18:46:18 -0400
wow. If this is any indication , then it is No wonder that Justin wants to change the way Canadians vote.
