“Cowboy culture is fake, a big conspiracy theory”: CFL’s Mike Rose claims at — Calgary Stampede

Keean BexteRebel Contributor

Stampede celebrates everything that is great about Calgary and Western culture. From bull riding to barrel racing, from Tim McGraw to Snoop Dogg, there really is something for everyone.

Calgary's spirit of volunteerism and hospitality are put on show for the world.

It's a celebration that politicians can't pass up. All except one, that is:

Justin Trudeau has been noticeably absent this year.

While he normally doesn't stay for long, it's always nice to see that he hasn't completely forgotten the province between B.C. and Saskatchewan.

The Prime Minister has made no indication that he intends to join, let alone to acknowledge, the festivities this year. Why would that be? Has he abandoned his lone MP and his chances of reelection, Kent Hehr?

Calgarians give their take as to why the Prime Minister is neglecting the "Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth," and Calgary Stampeder Mike Rose tells The Rebel that cowboys are fake.

Too bad Jed Clampett is not available to the Stamps coaching staff because one of these days somebody’s gonna have to have a loooooooooong talk with that boy.

You’ll have to excuse Mr. Rose. He’s from South Carolina.
They don’t need farms or ranches because all their food comes from the Winn-Dixie.

Next Stamps home game is on the 18th, might be a good idea for him to sit that one out…

I just love the loyalty Justin’s immigrants show us. Maybe it is a reflection of Justin’s disrespect. We really should listen to how much a large percentage of Justin’s invitees revile the west, and as a country elect and direct a government to respond accordingly. I hope she was sweating her ass off in that black body bag, and her hairline recedes from the weight of it. The terse response of that hijab-ed girl was highly offensive and an insult to the country she was invited into. Maybe she doesn’t really want to be here.

Everyone but the hijab girl and the fellow who said that cowboy culture is fake, was great and spot on.

My great Uncle was a cowboy.
Someone should put that american dude to work on a ranch and see if he still thinks it’s fake.

Justin didn’t attend because there’s just too much testosterone for him to compete with.

You should be ashamed to actually speak in public on anything other than football.
