Global News headline reads: "Calgary police assure Muslim community ‘they will be safe’ ahead of controversial protests".
The “controversial” protests in question are not Al Quds Day events on the steps of Calgary City Hall.
We know Al Quds Day is an Iranian fabrication, with rallies being held across the world calling for genocide against Jews and an end to the state of Israel.
Here is the weird part:
The controversial protests Global News is talking about are led by local Jewish groups and their allies, who are going to counter Al Quds Day with a demonstration that celebrates Israel’s right to exist.
Calgary police are now worried that, because of pro-Jewish presence, Muslim groups who are calling for an end of Israel are going to be uncomfortable, saying:
“The purpose here is this has caused angst among our Muslim community and really I want to assure them that we will have a presence there and they will be safe.”
I love cops. I do. But their bosses suck.
I am appalled at how political this policing has become.
And here’s why: The targets of hate and violence at these sorts of pro-Palestine rallies in Calgary aren't Muslims. It’s the Jews.
Watch my video to see the anti-semitic hate and violence that broke out at pro-Palestinian events in the past.
I think everyone has right to protest and rally. Calgary is not Tehran.
But the cops, or rather their bosses, are reducing public safety to a social justice cause.
And imagine if you got all your news from the mainstream media. You’d never know who the real victims of hate are in Calgary.
