Zac Efron gets dreadlocks, and looney left screams "cultural appropriation"

Actor Zac Efron got a new hairdo, which really shouldn’t be newsworthy except it made headlines and made him the target of the latest instalment of cultural appropriation outrage.

The headline in W Magazine read: “Zac Efron gets dreadlocks, misses the cultural appropriation memo.”

But you know something? I missed that memo too, and I’d really like to see it because then maybe I’d know what qualifies as cultural appropriation versus cultural appreciation versus cultural I-don’t-give-a-flying-you-know-what.

I remain terribly and utterly confused, but maybe there’s an asterisk in that cultural appropriation memo that allows exemptions?

“Cultural appropriation” joins “racism” as overused terms by people who are too stupid to argue or debate like sane people.

Don’t know who Zac is, or his ethnic background but…

What if he was identifying as a black man at the time.

That’s a lot more plausible than a man identifying as a woman.

Or anything else of the non XY/human persuasion.
