Should foreign nationals be allowed to run in Canadian elections?

Keean BexteRebel Contributor

Nimra Amjad, a Pakistani national who ran illegally in a Canadian election in 2017 has been charged with two counts of breaking the local authorities election act.

Amjad has been photographed speaking at an ANTIFA rally, and has represented Canada in multiple globalist conferences.

Even though they tried to hide it, the Rebel uncovered that this illegal candidate was also a board member for the socialist blogging site, Progress Alberta.

Amjad has been granted Canadian Citizenship recently, and we have not yet determined if the feds were aware of her offences.

I asked Calgarians what they think about a foreign national running in Canadian elections.

We reached out to Nimra Amjad and her associates multiple times, but they are very hush hush about this.

Amjad was only charged for entering the election illegally, saying she was Canadian when in fact she was Pakistani.

The Rebel reached out to the police to see why the police hadn't charged her with voting illegally, which could carry a prison sentence of up to 6 months. They said it was because of a lack of evidence.

John you are right but Keith is even more right. And yes John there is no doubt they bring agendas and in the case of that amjad they should strip her Canadian citizenship

Good man on the street answers. None of this should pass as ‘nothing to see here.’
Keep at it Keean. Expose it all. She’s got to go.

I favour the old rule : second generation…..no first generation immigrants running for office.I know…I know….it would disqualify some very well-meaning new Canadian candidates, but I have always considered that…if you have immigrated from another country…why would running for political office be a priority for you…unless…possibly …you are bringing an agenda with you?? Your children could run for office and there is an even larger chance that they will be more “Canadianized”.

“Should foreign nationals be allowed to run in Canadian elections?”

In my opinion, any candidate running for office at any level of government from municipal to federal should only have one citizenship, Canadian.

I don’t think the candidate should necessarily need to be born in Canada, but just one citizenship, and pledge allegiance to Canada only.

Only third, or more, generation Canadians should be permitted to run in political elections. That would have stopped Trudeau the Marxist.

Don’t they do a background check on any of these candidates? That should be mandatory.
And they say they do extensive checks on immigrants? Ya, no.

I’m not even sure I agree with people who have just become Canadians running for election. Without really knowing what Canada is all about, they rush to be voted into office so they can legislate to change everything so that Canada is more like their country of origin. You then get people like Ahmed Hussen telling Canadians that they’re “unCanadian”. (That’s rich). I don’t even think Hussen really understands what it is to be Canadian himself.
