You know, this whole foreign meddling in our elections thing — it is really an American conspiracy theory, a pathetic excuse to explain away why Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election.
But now that same conspiracy theory is being imported to Canada by Justin Trudeau as an excuse to crack down on illegal campaigning by Russians or whomever.
Now, obviously, I’m against foreign meddling in Canadian elections. But Trudeau really isn’t. Foreign donations to the Trudeau Foundation skyrocketed right after Trudeau was elected. Trudeau’s in-house think tank, Canada 2020, boasted that it was sponsored by Huawei. (Until last month, when suddenly they cleaned up their website.)
I’ve shown you this list before of over 100 so-called “third party” lobby groups who campaigned for Trudeau in 2015, including a George Soros front group called Avaaz, that lists New York City as its home address. Imagine how brazen you are, to disclose that you are a foreign lobby group illegally campaigning in Canada, and actually telling that to Elections Canada, and knowing that you will be just fine.
So, yeah, we have foreign meddling every day. And it’s not from Russia. It’s from companies. And frankly, it’s from China — or at least Huawei.
But yesterday Justin Trudeau announced that he is setting up an emergency committee, including with our defence minister Harjit Sajjan, to make sure that no Russians meddle with our election.
If that’s all there is, that’s fine. I don’t want Russia (or more likely, China) hacking our system.
But then he announced that the government is going to monitor the media, in Canada.
Of course, they’re not actually going to monitor for election meddling. They are going to commit election meddling.
TONIGHT I'll walk you through the astounding document released by Trudeau yesterday, called “Enhancing Citizen Preparedness.”
Trudeau is using your tax dollars to hire hand-picked people who will tell you the right way and wrong way to read the news. Who to listen to and believe.
Now here's something I just learned about today:
The Media Party has been having secret meetings, to talk about how to divide up the $595 million bail-out.
Is that how we make laws and policy in Canada? In secret, elite, invitation-only meetings? Not in Parliament, not in committees, not even in public forums. Oh, you bet.
I wasn’t invited , obviously. But it sounds like I sure was talked about a lot at the meeting. Not me, as a person, but as the personification of the Rebel. And as a stand-in for our other journalists, our independent journalism.
You, the people who were excluded; you, the people who need to be re-educated.
We were mocked at this meeting by the elites — led, by the way, by a one-time Hillary Clinton staffer brought in by Trudeau to tell us how it’s going to be.
The fact that these other journalists were part of this secret meeting and kept it a secret shows you it’s true — they really are bought and paid for.
Except us. They’ll never buy us. And it will take Harjit Sajjan and a tank to shut us up...
NEXT: I'll introduce you to the latest member of The Rebel Media team: Janice Atkinson, MEP.
Janice has been a long time supporter of Brexit, Donald Trump, Tommy Robinson — all the issues you care about. She'll be bringing you reports on the ever-changing UK and European landscape, where populism is brewing.
FINALLY: Your messages to me!
