Canada stands with Paris

Brian LilleyArchive

Canadian political leaders reacted with horror to the terrorist attacks in Paris. The news of the attacks broke late Friday in the nation’s capital with all three main party leaders denouncing the cowardly acts.

“I am shocked and saddened that so many people have been killed and injured today in a number of terrorist attacks in Paris, France, and that many others are being held hostage,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a statement.

Trudeau also took time to make brief remarks before the cameras as he and his entourage were boarding a plane to travel to the G-20 conference in Antalya, Turkey. He reiterated that Canada stands poised to help France and said he had spoken to his national security team to ensure all steps were taken to protect the safety of Canadians.

Rona Ambrose, the interim leader of the Conservatives, called for swift action to bring those responsible to justice.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those who lost their lives and those injured in the terrorist attacks today in Paris, and we pray for the safe release of the hostages currently being held,” Ambrose said.

"Let there be no mistake, Canada and Canadians stand with France on this tragic day.”

There was no break among the leaders in calling what happened in France a terrorist attack. New Democratic Party Leader Tom Mulcair, whose wife is a French immigrant, denounced what had happened.

“Canadians are shocked and horrified by the terrorist attacks in Paris today. We stand with the world in grieving this terrible loss of life and in condemning cowardly violence,” Mulcair said.

“On behalf of all New Democrats, I extend my profound condolences to the families of those killed, and to the people of France.”

Canadians travelling to France were warned of possible impediments.

“The situation is evolving. A state of emergency was declared. Borders are closed and there could be delays in flights to and from Paris,” and advisory on the Global Affairs website read.

Canadians in Paris in distress or those with family in the area worried for their safety are encouraged to contact government hotlines. With all the goings on in the world, we just had the most important election in decades and ended up with this weak PM. He needs to put Canadians first and stop his plan to bring the Trojan horse to Canada. Not only to Canada but to our military bases! The Libs are insane and have a hidden agenda so with this I suspect we will see the promise of 25,000 people brought here at break neck speeds regardless of the horrors in Paris or the security of Canada.

Michael Mann: Don’t you get it? This has nothing to do with their oil. They hate all non Muslims & their aim is to establish a caliphate globally. Every one converts to Islam, you know that nice peaceful religion or you get killed & they will not stop until the west destroys them. Now if Obama had guts & was a real leader, they could have been snuffed out with very few remaining, but heck they were only a JV team according to him. What a fool that man is. Nothing’s been done & look how they have grown in a very short time.
“When they learn to play nice, then you can talk”…….are you kidding me? You can’t talk & reason with people like that. They hate our democracy, morals way of life & they are hell bent on destroying us.

Mick Jagger’s kid is going to continue to import islamic masses – do not worry – this will only get worse over time.

Stephen – Trudeau used to literally run from the SNN reporters, and it looks like that is how he is going to be on the world stage too . PM Harper puts this boy to shame! He can’t even answer questions. I hope those who voted for this flake are embarrassed too. This is the change you wanted?

Sean Penson, YOU’RE A COMPLETE MORON!!!! Do you have to be hit with a hammer to wake up? Is someone slaughtering an innocent human being a loving person? You don’t even have one ounce of common sense. I for one am tired of your platitudes & stupid comments. Go to CBC, where you belong & fit right in.

No Sean Penson, we DO know who is behind the six Paris attacks and the world’s press knew it within an hour of it happening… QUIT SPINNING, because your futile efforts are apparent to anybody who can read English beyond a Grade 5 level!…. Say; you’re not related to “Jimmy Da Silva” are you???

Until the west figures out that their best move is to completely ignore that part of the world, we will continue to have these issues. We don’t need their oil. Pull out of the region completely and let them kill each other. When they learn to play nice, then you can talk.

It’s not so easy now is it Justin, having your first real job ever at 42, and you can’t just drop out now if you get bored, and go a trust fund vacation for a year or so like you done so many times before.

The honeymoon is over.

You didn’t think that this was going to a 16 hour a day job now did you, bet you have never even worked an 8 hour day in your life until the campaign started.

How long before your hair starts turning grey?

I’ve noticed on the news the last couple of nights that the stress is making your skin oily and shiny.

I can’t see you lasting beyond your 4 years, if you can even do that.

Stand with Paris but proceed with letting in thousands of Muslims even though it is next to impossible to determine how much they hate the west, thereby increasing the likelihood that more violence will be perpetrated upon Canadians. Oh but I forgot, Justin says they the reason they just killed 153 innocent people in Paris is because they don’t feel included. Duh!

Sean Penson – you keep consoling yourself with the lies being told by the MSM, while the rest of us begin preparing to defend ourselves, and our country! I just watched a video as the faux refugees, namely strong, able bodied men, were streaming by the thousands into Germany, and there were some young German people waving flags, welcoming the refugees, by the side of the road. I couldn’t help thinking how utterly unprepared they were, for what was about to come. They were naive because they likely have a press that has been lying to them, and they have a leader that, sold their country to the devil, using guilt to control her countrymen. Shame on Merkel for being a traitor! She has blood on her hands, as far as I’m concerned.

Yvette Mozol wrote «well what do you think might happen when you leave the doors wide open for all those Middle East refugees to enter your country»

I think you mean Middle-Ages refugees. TheRebel had a story recently about the enlightened opinions of these people:

I wonder when cognitive dissonance will finally set into our SJW Fifth Column that these people don’t actually share their ultra-leftist ideals. Maybe it will be when Islamic refugees start attacking Gay Pride marches here, too:

Sean Penson wrote «We must not flame racism, Islamiphobia or hatred of any kind.»

Yes, we must not call a spade a spade. These “Allahu akbar!” screaming terrorists seemed to think they were Islamists. Are you claiming they were completely mistaken about their own central motivation?

«we must fully embrace the helpless Syrian refugees without question or hindrance.»

Without question? So, we must not screen them at all? Just get them in the door and onto the streets as quickly as possible? Our SWJ Fifth Column is going to have a very hard time explaining away this one. Even the comment boards on the leftist CBC web site are overflowing with people criticizing Trudeau’s open-floodgate plan, even despite the moderators censoring of most of the onslaught. There have to be thousands of Islamic State fighters inside of Europe with the flood of unchecked economic migrants. This attack is very unlikely to remain unrepeated.

We don’t know who or what is behind the heinous crimes. We must not flame racism, Islamiphobia or hatred of any kind. The attack happened out of nowhere and was unpredictable. Despite the unfortunate incident, we must fully embrace the helpless Syrian refugees without question or hindrance.

Trudeau took one question from the press. The question included if he was considering rethinking pulling the F-18s, the 25,000 refugees, and his wanting to get rid of sections of Bill 153. Not once in his “response” did Trudeau address any of the points asked. The manner in which he addressed part of his non-response response I thought he would be offering to send warm coats and jackets to the French. Then he turned and left the room.

Inspiring! Well, no.

So sad what has happened in Paris today. Trudeau is shocked, well what do you think might happen when you leave the doors wide open for all those Middle East refugees to enter your country. Were these terrorists living in France or did they sneak through? ISIS has warned that they will be sneaking in with the refugees, so is this attack going to give pause to Trudeau? He should reverse that decision & admit he was wrong, but like Gwynn Dyer, ah ISIS is thousands of miles from here, there’s nothing to fear, so let’s just bury our head in the sand, nothing to worry about here.Hordes of very young males, with no women or children in sight as we’ve seen coming to Germany, Bolivia, Portugal, etc are not real refugees, so why are they coming??? Again, the naivety of Trudeau & his kindergarten class does not make me feel very secure.

Bet he does not cancel the 25,000 target for the end of the year. Maybe he is not as horrified as he says?

Trudeau and all his MPs should go to Paris now for their climate fraud conference and be human shields for any further attacks … if they want to be of service to Canada and France, I would appreciate Notley, all her MLAs also showing the same solidarity.

Well Justin you have a chance to be a real leader, but i will not hold my breath.
