It seemed the Uranium One scandal and its connection to Hillary Clinton was dead since the election with mainstream media ignoring revelations of an apparent pay to play scheme exposed in Schweitzer’s “Clinton Cash”, but explosive new reporting has thrust it back into the news.
Our own John Cardillo put out a video last week hammering teams Clinton and Obama for their role in this travesty -- and conservative media throughout the states have been all over it since.
But if you have followed this story at all you'll know there is also a Canadian connection by the name of Frank Giustra.
The billionaire philanthropist maintains he’s never done anything wrong with regard to his charitable donations or otherwise, but an odd timeline and series of facts, including his close relationship with Bill and Hillary Clinton, raises eyebrows.
While Giustra was by rights, successful in both the investment and entertainment industries, he ultimately became head of an energy company called UrAsia. Now Giustra’s relationship with Bill Clinton encompassed UrAsia business dealings and charitable donations to the Clinton Foundation.
Watch while I give you a bit of background on Giustra and the Clintons and explain where the uranium and Russians come into the story.
Did Canadian players seek to gain influence with the Clinton camp in exchange for millions in donations?
With news that congressional and senate committees are re-examining this deal we can only hope that the truth will be uncovered.
I did attempt to contact Mr. Giustra for comment but did not receive a response.
