Canadian pro-Israel activist talks Trump’s Jerusalem move

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

American president Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as the undivided capital of the sovereign state of Israel and has promised to move the thousand or so American diplomatic staff to a new embassy in Jerusalem.

It was something Trump campaigned on, so it shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone.

But that didn’t stop the ensuing spate of hysterical leftwing whining, protests, scolding from UN globalists and a wave of violence from Palestinians who, without irony, claim that Trump's recognition is harming the peace process.

What peace process?

Today, I cut through the mainstream media agenda and go straight to someone who actually spends part of the year in Israel for some genuine analysis.

Tonight, joining me from Jerusalem is Leslie-Ann Stoffel, a Canadian pro-Israel activist with Real Clear Israel.

Leslie-Ann Stoffel had a lot of very interesting things to say, but what I liked best was her language, her choice of words to express her thoughts and feelings. Her words, backed by a great attitude…‘This is the truth, it’s obvious to anyone who can actually think, that spade we’re looking at is in fact a spade…so don’t give me any of your silly nonsense!’ Self-assured and grounded in the facts.

It’s the kind of attitude that doesn’t allow the left to frame the question…it makes the left explain themselves – which the left won’t do, or can’t do…because there is no valid explanation for the lefty/progressive mindset and behavior, that’s why liberalism is a mental disorder!

How the various countries voted:
http://www.wnd.com/2017/12/128-nations-thumb-nose-at-trumps-jerusalem-recognition/
Canada was joined by Mexico in abstaining. The vote condemned President Trump’s decision, which was really a U.S. decision, as U.S. law has mandated for two decades, to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. In doing so, the U.S. was exercising its right as a sovereign nation. The Canadian government could have supported that principle without making a statement as to Canada’s position as to Israel’s capital, but, instead abstained, throwing its dearest and closest ally under the bus.

Ron, thanks for the additional info. you provided re: communication with O’Toole. I agree the analogy he gave you is bogus!
Your follow-up letter to him is on point and well written.

Tammie, while there were portions of O’Toole’s response to you that were copied and pasted, a portion of his response to me was somewhat personal suggesting that as it took time for me to get my degree, then I should understand that it takes time to make a decision, a bogus analogy.

In light of what happened in the U.N. today I wrote him again, concluding with,
“Speaking in the U.N. in response to this detestable attack on the U.S. for “exercising its right as a sovereign nation”, U.S. ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley, declared, “This vote will determine how we look at countries who disrespect us in the U.N.”, and that warning I presume applies, as well, to the Canadian government and their cowardice in standing up for a friend and neighbour, our closest and most important ally.
I am disgusted by Canada’s spineless action, turning our back on our closest friend, neighbour and ally! Presumably, globalist Justin Trudeau would rather have a country like Cuba or China or Turkey bordering our country! Accordingly, now would be the time for the Conservative Party to show some spine and step forward and support Trump’s position.”

I also took issue with and corrected his assertion that President Trump had simply “reiterated a statement made by several U.S. Presidents since the 1990s”.

Great show Sheila.

Excellent speech by Nikki Haley, Canada’s decision to abstain was extremely short-sighted and morally wrong. There most certainly will be consequences.

Ron Voss, Erin O’Toole copied and pasted his response, I got the same drivel when I wrote to him.
Again, another call from CPC last night seeking donations… I asked the woman to pass the recorded call to the CPC Executive. I was given all the time I needed to explain, in great detail why I will not send another donation; I haven’t contributed since the whipped vote shortly after Scheer won the leadership race.

Apparently, Canada abstained from the vote, probably on instruction of Jihadi Justin. This will not sit well with the U.S.! Jihadi Justin has now confirmed the Ottawa cabal of Lieberals are not an ally of the U.S. There will be consequences!

A great response by the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley, to this detestable attack on the U.S. for “exercising its right as a sovereign nation”:

Haley declared, “This vote will determine how we look at countries who disrespect us in the U.N.” and that applies to the Canadian government and their cowardice in standing up for a friend and neighbour, our closest and most important ally. I am so ashamed as a Canadian by this cowardice and disrespect shown by our government.

Ron Voss , Open house at my Conservative MP’s office this afternoon and I most certainly will be expressing my opinion .The Conservative Caucus must support the United States without equivocation .

BRIAN SMITH commented, “It’s Dec 21st and Canada just abstained in the UN General Assembly vote to support the US in its decision to move their embassy to Jerusalem. I am disgusted and ashamed that our spineless politicians cannot watch the back of our American cousins. This is not the behavior deserving of a friend in need.” Thanks for this report, I am equally disgusted, not unexpected, turning our back on our closest friend and ally! Now would be the time for the Conservative Party to step forward and support Trump’s position but, sadly, expect them to be equally spineless.

- The Trump administration hasn’t just put the Muslim world on notice, they’ve put the rest of the world on notice as well. In the vote coming up at the UN condemning the embassy move the US has said they’ll be watching to see what countries back it. The is not Obamas’ America anymore. Scheers’ CPC had best start growing a spine quickly or conservatives will be looking for a new party to support.

MUTA WEEN commented, “The United Nations is nothing more than a cabal whose interests are limited to forming a tyrannical global government.”

In this video, Hanne Nabintu Herland, talks about her new book, “The Culture War. How the West lost its greatness and was weakened from within”, which outlines how the West lost its values, causing its current decline. When one considers the actions of Trudeau partnered with rich global elitist George Soros, the following according to Herland, makes sense: “In recent decades, Western culture has undergone dramatic changes. Radical new elites have broken down historical values in order to create a new world order with new sets of ethics. They have pushed for strong globalized worldviews, and the current establishment now dominates the public through tight control over the media. We are profoundly challenged by an authoritarian liberal extremism.”

Funding needs to be cut off and maybe encourage them to move to the South Pole or Europe.

On behalf of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, Turkey and Yemen has requested an emergency meeting of the 193 nations, in response to the U.S. veto of a draft resolution rejecting President Trump’s Dec. 6 Jerusalem declaration. Egypt introduced the draft, which was supported Monday by all 14 other Security Council members.
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley has warned that she will be “taking names” of nations that reject the president’s decision in a General Assembly vote scheduled for tomorrow:

It will be interesting to see how Canada votes or if at all.

When I wrote to Erin O’Toole, the CPC Foreign Affairs critic, about this he said that he need time to consult with his cabinet and stakeholders, where you wouid think the primary stakeholder to consult with wouid be Israel itself. He gave no timeline for making a decision.

We need to keep a very close eye on Soros and Obama. Mark my words, Soros is going to make a huge play in supporting a global political leader and with Obama making a play for the UN my money is that it is going to be him. Whoever it will be, you can be sure this person will be THE Antichrist and will usher in the biggest crock of bull this world has ever seen. A so called 7 year “peace” agreement with Isreal and the world only to break it 3.5 years in when Isreal rejects him as Messiah after he forces them to worship his image like Nebicanazer of old. This age is wrapping up fast, the church is going to be called home, be sure you are part of it because once you here of countless people vanashing from Earth all at once it will be to late. Act now Peter told us what to do to be ready, “Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. For this promise is to you and to your children, and as many that are a far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call”

Sheila: What a great show! Leslie-Ann is tremendously informative and gives a realistic coverage. Absolutely, have her back as often as you can.

The Conservative party is afraid of its shadow. Stephen Harper had the experience and the wisdom, both qualities now lost forever for Canadian politics.
