Candice Malcolm: Andrea Horwath's "despicable" sanctuary province plan

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, Sun columnist Candice Malcolm joined me to discuss NDP leader Andrea Horwath's plan to declare Ontario a "sanctuary province".

Canada already has numerous sanctuary cities where illegal migrants have access to every single taxpayer-funded social service, so what Horwath is proposing is really just doubling-down on the existing disastrous policy.

WATCH my interview with Candice to see how this is really about Horwath virtue signaling and pushing a policy most Ontarians oppose.

So, Jack, software developers are jobs of the industrial revolution? Engineers are not needed any longer? Lawyers are the equivalent of buggy whip manufacturers? etc, etc…

Do you not realize that many of these hires are coming out of universities other than in Alberta?

Do you not understand this is a large company who is actually looking for people with his training and skillset? So obviously this education is in demand? Many of these jobs are in other countries- not just Alberta?

Your anti-western bigotry is making you look like fool. Stop now.

Seems a shame that Andrea Horwath didn’t listen to one of her Hungarian grannies about what socialism looks like in reality…

Jack you need farms and oil ,no one needs what you provide. Sad but true eh?
commented 2018-05-26 03:49:46 -0400
Jack Foley you could not handle a farm job or an oil patch job.

Jack Foley ever hear of BIOWARE! What game companies did Ontario have when they were winning awards? Edmonton success story , same with Booster Juice.

Jack Foley Media? LMAO! Sorry not a real highly qualified field. My mother retired a Systems Analyst Level 3 , she was programming for Alberta Treasury before we were in our teens. And i used to put my own name and change features in cracked games on my Atari 800 back in the day. And Alberta always has been way ahead of Ontario in the field of recycling , we had blue bins in my small town long before small cities in Ontario had them. And we have had bottle depots in every small town since i can remember. Now go enjoy your Liberal arts degree, LMAO!

I guess Drive-By-Jack thinks all those office towers in Calgary and Edmonton are chock full O’ Rotin’ Tootin’ cowboys? Funny that my wife never worked with any cowboys in the law offices of Bennet Jones.
They started in Calgary in 1922 and have offices in:
Calgary
Edmonton
Ottawa
Vancouver
Toronto
Bejing
Bermuda
Doha
USA.
380 lawyers and 500 staff.
Not bad for a bunch of hayseed cowboys.

Or Imperial Oil. 2300 employees and everyone a cowboy. Yee Haw!
Amazing given the jobs they are being hired for:
Financial analysts
Mining Geologist
Senior Engineer
Mine Planner
Electrical Instrument Technician
Instrument and Electrical Maintenance Planner
Catalysts and Licensing Accounts Manager
Process Design Engineer
Drilling Operations Integrity Advisor
Aviation Filed Engineer

Man they did a good job of pulling the wool over my wife’s eyes (sorry again for the agricultural reference- but we in the west relate so easily to it that I forget not everyone can understand the complexities). Who knew that cowboys were so smart? They don’t even need a university degree for these jobs.

Jack, I need to thank you for opening my eyes to what a bunch of hicks they are in Alberta. But still they accomplish so much with so little education. Who needs university? Only the dopes from Toronto, apparently.

JACK FOLEY
If those skills are so transferable to more modern industries, then why are the people of Alberta crying about their precious oil jobs? Go work for Apple, Google, design a new app or social media site that you can sell for millions. People in Ontario are doing that.
________________________________________________________________________________
So you are not denying that there are very educated people in Alberta? You are just saying that these very educated people a too stupid to find park in a different field?

So which is it? Is Alberta full of cowboys- probably the lowest percentage of workers- or are there highly educated people in Alberta. Be careful of your answer. You know I’m not afraid of usinf=g facts and statistics. Unlike you who never uses them.

There might be jobs for a hundred but not for 200,000 at Apple.

I’m quite sure that many Albertans are also doing that but once again you back up nothing with evidence just the spewing of your unsupported opinions. That’s why you are Drive-By-Jack.

They use to say the best way to know or grasp geography…was to physically travel…still works for me…

Alan,

I will happily take my chances with the NDP over the shit show of Doug Ford…

The class will readily note that Jack has just presented us a text book example of the Three Pillars of Leftiedom.

Would any one care to show how?
commented 2018-05-25 23:35:31 -0400
Jack, have you ever been to Alberta and especially Calgary?

It is full of engineers and managers and computer IT directors and technicians. All of these are very transferable skills. I grew up in Cowtown and my wife worked for Imperial Oil. Her job was in Human Resources where they hired many hundreds of people from all over the country every month. They were all university educated and many with master’s and doctorates.

You perceive every Albertan as a rig pig. ’Taint so. Not by a long shot. Even many of the rig workers have your equal of education or even higher. Far more workers work in offices than on the rigs themselves.

It is obvious your Toronto-as-the-centre-of-the-Universe bias is raging against the Western Deplorables. You know not of what you speak so I suggest you stop talking. You need to travel more and get those Eastern urbo-weenie blinders off. (Sorry to use an agricultural term that you might not understand).

Jack Foley Alberta is more smart and tech savy, Ontario is full of idiot Liberals , you are one of them. And the oil industry requires Geology, Chemistry and Physics, a Welder is more educated than you are.
Diverse knowledge? LMAO! About what? Gender Studies and whining?
commented 2018-05-25 21:57:12 -0400
Jack Foley i wish Marxism upon you as well. You deserve it. LMAO! Now go pay for those refugees that you and lots of Toronto voted for and are now whining about when it come to cost.

May soon be joining you Rick in abandoning ship if Horwath gets in, and Jack take the blinders off Horwath and Notley are both cut from the same cloth, both are dippers and Horwath’s crew is one scary lot.

Allan Peterson,

I couldn’t care less about Alberta. Horwath isn’t Notley.

But they are both NDP marxists. The NDP have driven every province they have ruled into the ground in every single case. But maybe this time will be different. I wouldn’t hold my breath.

That would prove once again the Three pillars of Leftiedom:
1. They never learn from their mistakes
2. They never learn from other people’s mistakes.
3. They refuse to exercise discernment.

I lived in Ontario during the Boob Rae NDP government. Of the 30 odd homes on my street, more than half were in foreclosure due to unemployment. I was lucky enough to sell my house, (albeit at a loss) and left. There was clearly no future. I have not looked back since……………..
commented 2018-05-25 15:55:23 -0400
Go for it Andrea!… And let’s start with putting more derelicts and criminals out on the streets of Hamilton Centre…. Not enough out there now, eh?…

The NDP are cut from the same Marxist cloth.
