The main park in Sayula, a town in the Mexican state of Jalisco, was transformed into a “tent city” when some of the thousands of migrants in the caravan travelling northward to the U.S. stopped in for the night.
This is normally a spot where spectators can take in a soccer game but now it’s a camping ground until the migrants leave for their next destination.
Why is this being tolerated by the government, and the people of Sayula?
