Venezuela is falling apart. Everyday there is another story about how the Bolivar Republic is crumbling under its own weight.
There are food and supply shortages of even the most basic necessities. The Venezuelan government has resorted to confiscating produce from farmers and food companies. There are news stories every day showing the absolute human suffering caused by Venezuelan socialism. It’s all long lines, empty shelves and desperate faces.
What about their socialized healthcare? That “free” healthcare is what liberals and socialists hold up as pinnacle of socialist success. If you have state run healthcare, liberals tell us that you have unlocked a mystery level in the socialist video game of life. But what does socialized healthcare combined with extreme socialist government really look like?
There are new images coming out of Venezuela published in the Daily Mail. They show the absolute indignity of Venezuelan hospitals. It’s a revealing look at the long game of socialized medicine. There are little children in oncology wards gravely ill, lying amongst boxes and filth, patients warehoused in the hospital hallways, jugs of water used to treat patients who require traction to heal their broken bones, grotesque washrooms and bloody operating rooms.
Watch my video to see these horrifying conditions.
Only truly desperate people would take a child to a place like this, desperate people with no other means and no other choices. That’s what socialism does. It takes away choices and it confiscates your means. It’s a hope and dignity killer. Those images taken in those Venezuelan hospitals are of socialism, and they are pictures of evil.
These heartbreaking snapshots cross the line from being horrendous human suffering caused by bad government in a far off land to being a cautionary tale of the NDP.
NDP MLA for Edmonton-Ellerslie, Rod Loyola, was captured on video chanting support for Hugo Chavez, the former dictator of Venezuela. Chavez was the architect of the suffering we see now unfolding in Venezuela. Loyola worships him.
It’s creepy and gross. But it’s who the NDP are. In a perfect world, they'd happily repeat the mistakes of Venezuela here in Alberta.
