I have bad news and good news. The bad news is, CBC is wasting more of your money on brainwashing.
The good news is, they’re brainwashing themselves rather than everybody else for once.
According to the government’s open tenders website, CBC is looking for someone to tell them that “The Corporation”, as the CBC likes to call itself, is racist and biased.
They’re half right, but not the way they think.
“to support the Corporation in the implementation of its 2018-21 Diversity and Inclusion Plan, and more specifically its vision to be ‘the media leader in drawing on the wealth of unique Canadian perspectives to shape our content, workplace and workforce’, CBC/Radio-Canada wishes to increase its employees’ awareness and cultural competencies.”
“The objective of this request is to select one or more providers for CBC/Radio-Canada’s Diversity and Inclusion Program, more specifically as it relates to unconscious bias and cultural competency trainings. The program can be delivered in person and/or online, and the Corporation welcomes innovative and cutting-edge solutions. The Corporation cultural competency training focus is on Indigenous peoples and persons with disabilities, and other areas of interest include visible minorities and the LGBTQ2+ community.”
I haven't cracked open the CBC website lately, but does anyone really worry that our state broadcaster has been treating minorities unfairly?
CBC has an entire indigenous bureau dedicated to First Nations' issues.
And their website for kids won't shut up about sexual minority issues, even though the site is targeted at very young children.
Taxpayers don't need to spend thousands of dollars educating the SJWs at CBC about how to be less biased against the things they already obsess over.
