What is the CBC wasting your money on now? Undercover "exposes" about... "gendered restaurant uniforms"!
A female CBC reporter applied for server jobs undercover and was shocked to learn that these workplaces had official dress codes.
“We like people to look classy,” said one boss. Another restaurant asks servers to “wear pointy shoes.”
Is this really the biggest problem facing our nation today?
I though feminists wanted us to proudly display our bodies. Now they want us to cover them up in shame. Which is it?
Working in a restaurant is hardly "slavery." For one thing, no one is forcing you to work there. Besides, wait staff in some venues can earn hundreds of dollars -- even a thousand dollars -- a day, in tips.
I know: I’ve worked at similar places to those mentioned in the CBC “expose.” My fellow employees actually got in trouble for wearing too little clothing, not too much.
