Censorship incoming? Twitter partners with Islamists and radical feminists to create 'safe space'

StaffRebel Columnist

Social media website Twitter is creating a “Trust & Safety Council” to stop and censor opinions that might upset Islamists and radical feminists such as Anita Sarkeesian.

Twitter released the following statement in a blog post.

“On Twitter, every voice has the power to shape the world. We see this power every day, from activists who use Twitter to mobilize citizens to content creators who use Twitter to shape opinion.

To ensure people can continue to express themselves freely and safely on Twitter, we must provide more tools and policies. With hundreds of millions of Tweets sent per day, the volume of content on Twitter is massive, which makes it extraordinarily complex to strike the right balance between fighting abuse and speaking truth to power. It requires a multi-layered approach where each of our 320 million users has a part to play, as do the community of experts working for safety and free expression.

That’s why we are announcing the formation of the Twitter Trust & Safety Council, a new and foundational part of our strategy to ensure that people feel safe expressing themselves on Twitter.”

It's important to note, as InfoWars points out, “the organizations include feminist and other leftist groups, such as Feminist Frequency and GLAAD, and even a Muslim advocacy institute, fueling concerns that the “safety council” will lead to further suppression of anyone speaking out against feminism and radical Islam on Twitter.”

Remember, it wasn't long ago that Breitbart's Milo Yiannopoulos was un-verified on Twitter for his conservative tweets.

With sites like Facebook and Twitter increasingly supporting censorship, it's easy to see why some users are nervous of this new council.

Well, if Twitter wishes to censor the expression of opinions that do not conform to their way of thinking, then they will suffer the consequences as users remove their accounts and move to another social media venue which will allow for “freedom of expression”! It will be their loss. So, Orwell’s “thought police” are now in action! A good investigative journalist should be able to discover “who” is behind this and pulling the strings to make their “puppets dance to their tune”! Perhaps the “orders” are coming from the UN???

For me, Twitter is single sign in to follow alternate news and commentary. Eventually, I imagine many that I follow will be censored. Deleting my account is simply a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’.

Facebook and Twitter are No Go Zones, as far as I’m concerned.

It’s not only our words they want to control.
Our thinking must also be under their control.

Twitter is heading into the shitter – it’s a service that is full of fake accounts – some use twtr for news feeds, but does that make twitter worth $10B??

when someone tells me they are a feminist, I begin chanting my favorite line from Silence of the Lambs (the first one).
" it puts the lotion on it’s skin or it gets the hose again".
then I just sit back and watch them go into orbit. bahahahahahaaha!

the politically correct hostile takeover began a while back. this is just the latest victim.
islamists and feminists are born for each other. one is about rape and the other is about censorship.
and I did notice the feminist, Hillary Rodham-Clinton, took a shellacking last night. but don’t worry, we’ll get the rest of them in The Purge.

Dear Diary;
We’re running low on facial tissues here in Gerald’s Puppet Master’s Office. Poor Gerald, it would seem that the entire Twitter-sphere is on his case.
Everyone’s attacking us just because I haven’t offered a rationale for pulling the jets. I should have said something like “just watch me” because when Daddy used that line it just took everyone’s breath away and they were so impressed (how’s that, Peter Babich?). They’re even saying that my explanations were muddled and incoherent, and this is even after I put on my patented slow, drawn-out, heavy breathing voice that I use whenever I want to emphasise something that might turn out to be important. I’ll be okay; I think I’ve just got something in my eye.
So just to show everyone that I’m not the closed-minded, fascist dictator that so many Canadians are discovering that I am, I’m going to take Gerald’s advice and get Dan Gardener’s advice about how I should go about taking B.O.’s advice so that it will appear that I’m heeding Harjit’s advice when I advise My House to put hundreds of our troops into harms way and not provide air support for them.
Of course, since my subjects have given me a huge overwhelming majority to do anything I please I could just go ahead anyway, but although I’d have a guaranteed successful vote in My House it will give my zombies the impression that I’m a loving, caring, democratic, benevolent dicta . . oops, I mean, leader, just like Daddy and Uncle Jean.
Finally, my bottom lip’s stopped quivering, I’m okay now.
