Chick-fil-A opens in Toronto: “We're just here to buy chicken” amid LGBT protesters

Keean BexteRebel Contributor

Chick-fil-A opened its first restaurant in Toronto with a round-the-block lineup of excited Torontonians.

SUPPORT THE REBEL

Despite tens of radical LGBT and vegan activists staging a “die-in” to protest meat consumption (ignoring the McDonald's one block south) the opening was a wild success.

Customers came from all walks of life, and be it an engaged gay couple, to Muslims, to African-Canadians, nobody in line for a juicy chicken sandwich was dissuaded by the breathless protesters.

While this wasn't the first Chick-fil-A to open in Canada ever, (the first was located in Calgary at the Steven J. Harper International Airport) it is new to most Canadians.

That’s refreshing. The normal people going about their day, vs the freaks who want to disrupt it. I’m not biased. I don’t know about standing in line for 10 hours though. There’s even more normal people than that who just work for a return to order. Good stuff Keean.
