Liberals force female Conservative MP to take job she didn’t want

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Remember when the Conservatives nominated Lethbridge MP Rachael Harder to chair the Status of Women committee?

Harder is a suspected pro-lifer, and the Liberals couldn't have a smart, democratically elected Millennial woman as the chair if there is any chance she has the wrong — according to the Liberals — but private views about abortion.

As we told you, the Liberals protested her nomination and hijacked the committee, using their majority to nominate someone of their choosing.

It's bizarre and frankly, sexist.

But now it gets worse:

Conservative MP Karen Vecchio declined the nomination to chair, but the Liberals have used their majority on the committee to bully her into filling the job.

For Justin Trudeau's Liberals, feminism means believing everything your male party leader expects you to believe about women's issues and then forcing them on everyone.

The Liberals preach a lot about consent and "my body my choice" that is, unless you're Karen Vecchio and your body doesn't want to be the chair of a committee.

Al Peterson,

I don’t think Jay is like an alcoholic. He is one pure and simple. Hence the disjointed comments while under the self meds.

Tammie, I think Jay’s problem is like that of an alcoholic. The first step is in admitting he has a problem with logic and reading comprehension. I do wish he would take some evening courses.

“Scheer might be a serious disappointment”. Might be?

Jay Kelly, once again you reading/listening skills have failed you.

Al Peterson suggests that I take a course in logic after I posted my comment. I had said:

“The Rebel has attacked Conservative Member of Parliament Rachael Harder as if she is public enemy number one.

In fact this earnest young woman has represented her constituents well and has courageously spoken out about social issues.

The Rebel should be ashamed."

Jay, you can also take up a reading comprehension course as Hyacinth points out your lack there as well.

Jay, you got it 180 degrees wrong again. When will you take that course in logic?

Jay Kelly you twist words very well, too bad your reading comprehension skills still leave a lot to be desired. Such a troll, did you ask your boss for that raise yet?

The Rebel chose the words carefully: “Liberals force female Conservative MP to take job she didn’t want”, and “Liberals have used their majority on the committee to bully her into filling the job.”

Really? This young farm woman was elected as the Member of Parliament for Lethbridge in 2015 with 57% of the popular vote. That is not small potatoes.

How dare The Rebel say she is forced or bullied into her roles in parliamentary committees.

She can speak for herself and defend herself when necessary. Rachael Harder is a strong, conservative, and courageous young Member of Parliament.

What the hell ?

Please, we keep making the seminal error of referring to these post-nationalist cultists as “liberals”. They are no such thing. Liberals used to have some pretty cool ideas like populist democracy, equity n law, free speech and voluntary service – polar opposite of these degenerates pimping censorship, religious bigotry, race-baiting and authoritarian process. They are bigoted rabid control freaks, but surely NOT liberals

I have always imagined that a French/Hispanic (?) Canadian would be a staunch Catholic and would be strictly anti abortion, I guess I was wrong. Of course, now that Trudeau is in bed with the Dung Beetles, who at one time used to bury all new born females alive, until someone explained to them that they were killing off their own race.
Trudeau and his crew of misfits are only interested in aborting white baby’s. They dream of a land filled with Brown Skinned cheap labor and large profits. With every Church a Mosque.

Conservatives should have held their ground based on the rules This makes them also look untrustworthy! Is the wool being pulled over the eyes of Social Conservatives? They sure were happy to get memberships, donations and votes from the SoCons who, apparently came out in droves to support the party. Looks like once again, the government has decided to shut out the voice of so many! Shameful from all angles.

Conservatives are showing a cowardly yellow streak.

Scheer might be a serious disappointment.
commented 2017-10-04 20:01:18 -0400
Ms. Vecchio should use her power as chair and refuse to recognize input from the Liberal committee members, including the disallowing of questions by these members. The Liberal members would not be able to complain because they elected her.

Why did the Conservative Party and its leadership buckle against this bullying? Disappointing!

China’s now 2-child policy and forced abortions? NDP May supported the 1-child policy.
What has Scheer said and done about this?
If Karen Vecchio is the Chair and the PCs have acquiesced, then she may as well bring some knitting to the meetings, because no one will be listening to her. Now that’s a real feminist image.

Trudeau is following in the footsteps of China’s “basic dictatorship”.
In China, you cannot run for elected office if you are pro-democracy. In Canada, especially when M103 becomes law, you will not be able to run for office if you are pro-free speech. Trudeau has already made it clear that being pro-life means you’re ineligible for democratic appointments.
Will any CPC candidate risk prosecution by openly arguing against allowing Sharia law and openly pillory the worst tenets of Islam? Being charged under M103 will negate his/her candidacy, just as a candidate in China openly promoting more democracy will not be able to run for office.
Basic dictatorship is about restricting freedom. Justin and Xi Jinping are two peas in a pod.

… Trudeau’s “pro-choice” means no choice.

Excellent report Sheila.
This is another example of the so-called feminists exerting their will over others. Never mind Parliamentary procedure and process, or that a democratically elected woman has been ousted by Liberals having tantrums; now, add a another woman forced to Chair – shameful!
