To date, fourteen candidates have entered the leadership race for the Conservative Party of Canada. I had a chance to catch up with one of them, former MP and Minister of Immigration Chris Alexander, at our Edmonton rally.
I spoke with Chris about a number of things including his leadership campaign message, social license, pipelines and President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump.
Watch my interview with Alexander to hear his thoughts on these topics.
Jobs, pipelines, the economy and our relationship with the US are incredibly important issues for Canadians and although some candidates seem to be off message with suggestions like implementing carbon taxes and promoting an unfriendly relationship with Donald Trump, Alexander seems to have a good grasp on all the right issues.
The CPC leadership vote will take place on May 27, 2017 so there is still time to make a decision.
Stay tuned to The Rebel where we’ll keep you updated on all of the candidates.
