Christine Van Geyn: Wynne's deficits are the taxes of tomorrow

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, I discussed Premier Kathleen Wynne's new budget with Christine Van Geyn, Ontario Director of the Canadian Taxpayer Federation.

The budget includes higher taxes, more debt, and plans for six years of deficits.

Ontario is not in a recession so there is no excuse for this level of fiscal irresponsibility, but that isn't going to stop Wynne from desperately trying to buy one more election

Time to run the government like a business . If they are screw ups they get fired and loose pay and reduced pensions .The age that they can collect pensions should also resemble the private sector . The collapse of Canada is near . But we will still have free dental free health care free daycare free education . I mean aren’t we entitled to it right .

@Andrew . . .
“Today’s children are born with government debt… but so were you. Canada’s had public debt for as long as it’s been a country.” . . . .

In the1966s Canada’s debt was 10.4 Billion . . . “Canada’s economy was booming. The gross national product grew 10.2% from 1963 to 1964 and 9.6% from 1964 to 1966. Investment in non-residential construction and machinery and equipment rose 17% from 1964 to 1965, and was especially high for the manufacturing industry and electric power, gas and water utility companies.”
Per capita Debt . . . a mere $600.00 !

Two years after the Marxist Pierre Turdough became the PM. The imbacile who never once balanced a budget. “The period since 1970 witnessed enormous growth in the federal net debt as successive deficits combined with high interest rates saw the net debt rise from $20.3 billion to reach a peak of $609 billion in 1996—the era of the federal fiscal crisis.”

Today’s Drama Queen Mr. Dress-up spendathon . . . we are approaching 700 Billion . . .
Today’s kids are born with $20,000 of federal Govt Debt . . . . + the Provincial Debt . . . Ontar-i-owe is already the highest.
I don’t believe Canada will ever come back . . . neither will Ontar-i-owe !

Wynne (aka Orville Redenbacker defs striking resemblance ) has done nothing but use the Office of the Premier to further her own personal social agenda. My sincere hope is that after this election she can hold her Caucus Meetings in a Phone Booth

Muta Ween, right again!! Thanks for telling it the way it is. I was beginning to think I am the only person in this former “nation” to see what is going on. Too bad the majority of what is living here are only interested in their "ENTITLEMENTS’ afforded them here in the former Canada. Unfortunately they aren’t paying attention as they cash in and don’t seem to be aware that the cupboards are all becoming bare and after 2019 when the psychopath on parliament hill gets in AGAIN- and I’m guessing the lying thief here in Ontario gets in again as well, WE ARE ALL GOING TO BE IN THE GUTTERS WITH ONLY THE CLOTHES ON OUR BACKS AS CANADA IS NOTHING MORE NOW, ( SINCE TRUDEAU REMOVED ALL SOVEREIGNTY/BORDER /IMMIGRATION/REFUGEE/ILLEGAL/TERRORIST LAWS) THAN A GLOBAL,BORDER-LESS, LAWLESS, THIRD WORLD WELFARE DUMP ! TRUDEAU, WYNNE , NOTELY ETC., SOLD OFF ALL OUR GOLD RESERVES AND FOREIGN CURRENCY AND EVEN MORE OF OUR RESOURCES INCLUDING LAND (WONDER WHOSE OFF SHORE BANK ACCOUNTS THIS MONEY WENT INTO), HAVE SPENT ALL OUR MONEY AND ALL CANADA’S MONEY, HAVE CHASED WHAT INDUSTRY ALONG WITH THE JOBS THEY WOULD HAVE BROUGHT TO CANADIANS,WAS LEFT HERE OUT CANADA AND EVERY PROVINCE INCLUDING THE RESOURCE INDUSTRY WHICH THEY HAVE ALL SHUT DOWN TO IMPORT SAUDI (ISLAMIC/OPEC ) OIL AT TOP PRICE WITH TAX ON TAX ON TAX BEING ADDED , AND CHASED BOTH FOREIGN AND CANADIAN INVESTMENT OUT OFCANADA AS WELL. So, all the parasitical foreign terrorists, criminals, illegals etc, freely invading canada every second of every day -all cashing in on the best we have to offer and continue to pay for , are going to get a rude awakening when the grave train comes to halt as there simply will not be any more money to keep it running! I’m absolutely STUNNED that a trust fund, part time drama teacher/ski instructor/bouncer , son of the other most treasonous, anti canadian, pro Nazi, pro communist dictator , coward who ran from conscription so he didn’t have to fight for Canada during WWII, was voted in after telling us all he HATED US AS WELL, HATED CANADA AND EVERYTHINGCANADIANAND WAS A MUSLIM WHO WOULD SERVE AND PROTECT THEM OVER US, AND NOW HAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED THIS FORMER COUNTRY BUILT BY MILLIONS OF PEOPLE OVER A FEW HUNDRED YEARS AND THEN DEFENDED BY MILLIONS MORE IN TIMES OF WAR and now WE HAVE NO COUNTRY, NO JOBS, ARE LOSING OUR FREEDOMS, AND ALL OUR MONEY AND SOON ASSETS WILL BE TAKEN FROM US AS WELL. It simply boggles the mind that 35 PLUS MILLION PEOPLE IN THIS FORMER COUNTRY, HATE CANADA, HATE THE FREEDOMS, WEALTH, SECURITY, SOVEREIGNTY , RIGHTS AND EVERYTHING ELSE AFFORDED THEM HERE AS MUCH AS THIS PSYCHOPATHIC TYRANT ON PARLIAMENT HILL!

Andrew Stevenson… The digestible content of your post is once again showing your autistic side.. please arrange your words into sentences so they have content and meaning.. You would appear smarter if everything didn’t roll off your pen like spin.

The spending is a cynical ploy to manipulate Doug Ford… and he’s complying, probably not realizing that he’s being played. She knows entitlement spending is popular and that Douggie won’t take an unpopular position. It seems to be working – he’s been asked several times about whether he’d roll back the new entitlement proposals and mushed around without giving a single coherent answer, before blaming the media for being so brazenly unfair as to ask him to discuss things like his political platform. This is getting good.

When I was born I was not in debt’

You’re talking personal debt, then switch into public debt.

You were born without personal debt. Today’s children are also born without personal debt.

Today’s children are born with government debt… but so were you. Canada’s had public debt for as long as it’s been a country.

This topic came up at our dinner table a few years ago just after turdo la doo won the election. Our youngest winked at her siblings and asked me, “So, did you like the election results?”
“Damn right”, says I. “Happy as hell!”

There was a stunned silence before she said, “But I thought you didn’t like Trudeau?” “I don’t, I think he’s a stupid little tit”.

“So why are you happy?”

“Well, its like this. Everyone at this table has about forty thousand of public debt on their shoulders – about half is federal, the other half provincial. And your Mom and I were quite prepared to pay our shares before we retire. But your generation just voted for turdo and that hag in Toronto. So, instead of voting to have us pay down our debt, you guys voted to take that debt off our shoulders …you voted to actually INCREASE it”. So think about this: In addition to paying your own forty grand, you’re going to pay ours too! So that’s why I’m happy as hell!"

When I was born I was not in debt. My parents took on reasonable debt only such as buying a car or home and then only after much soul searching. Now, our kids are born with a huge price on their heads. They have no hope of ever paying it off but they are going to be forced to pay it off. A debt they must pay that was incurred without their knowledge or consent. That amounts to taxation without representation. Kids are able to rally against guns or an election they don’t agree with but seem amazingly passive even uninterested in a debt they had nothing to do with. That should be their hill worth dying on, but no they are rather complacent and compliant.

The rating agencies are the problem. They look at all the suckers like you and me and decide as saps we can be levied more taxes to pay for the largess of Socialists like Wynne.
Just today an article in Globe about warnings from Moody’s that Ontario COULD be in trouble . Could be in trouble? Could be in trouble? You brainless idiots publish phoney ratings so we the taxpayer get stuck with the bill.
Wynne and her thieves should have been cut off years ago from their extravagant spending.
Six more years of deficits? Already the biggest non nation debtor on the planet and she wants to saddle us with more.
I hope she doesn’t get one seat in the upcoming election. But you can bet she will get a seat on some board that benefitted from her corrupt profligate spending.
