Manny Montenegrino: Freeland skips NAFTA talks for anti-Trump conference

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Manny Montenegrino joined me to discuss the Trudeau Liberals mishandling of NAFTA negotiations.

Manny has been arguing for months that Trudeau doesn't want to reach a trade deal with Trump because he wants to attack the President during Canada's next federal election. Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland attending an anti-Trump conference, where the President was referred to as a "tyrant", is more proof that Manny was correct.

WATCH our full interview to see how Canada has made less progress on trade than Mexico and what Trudeau's concern over "cultural protections" is really about.

why did Canada send a woman to deal with Trump over NAFTA when they know that Trump doesn’t respect women?

Freeland and Trudeau’s actions are clearly NAFTA-CIDE
They are hoping that they can provoke the US to walk away from the negotiation table, saving the incompetent CDN team from making the concessions that will crush them politically.
This will not play out in Freeland’s favour, the US will hold her feet to the fire and a deal will be made or the consequences will be her’s and Trudeau’s to own. And we will all be poorer for it.

YAY! One more step to the ruin of Canada. I hope it affects Liberal voters the most. They damn well deserve the brunt of the ruination.

Freeland is a twit and so is anyone that doesn’t see the irony in everything she says and does to screw up this NAFT DEAL .

Oh Canada, ye venal and niggardly excuse for a country.
You had an opportunity to make a true free trade deal with both Mexico and the United states. If we had intelligent folks in trade they would have lept at the opportunity that was once offered of no tariffs and no non-tarrif barriers. But no – our great leaders are about to blow this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Their excuse is to protect agriculture producers in mostly Quebec and Ontario. A few hundred Canadians, at best.
But, how about the 30 million or more of we the Canadian consumer?
Do we not count? Farm products, with competition, would be a cheaper and better product than they are today. ( I point to the USA’s Rockingham chicken as such a product compared to the scrawney birds we produce).
In 1823, before Canada was born, president James Monroe enacted the Monroe doctrine. Since that time the United States built and their taxpayers paid for a mighty military umbrella which not only protects the USA but also protects Canada and Mexico. Nary once in that time has Canada ever compensated the United States of America’s taxpayer for this great gift of ensuring the safety and security of the Canadian people. This year alone, based on relative populations, Canada should be compenstaing the US taxpayer a total of 70 Billion dollars for the monies these good people have spent for the protection of Canada.
To this day we haven’t compensated the USA for their largess except by whining and complaining about Suply Management, some pie in the sky sort of cultural perogative, or demanding a dispute system which has been little used in the past twenty years.
It is well past time for Canada to shed their kindergarten clothes and accept their real world reponsibilities.

Jamie, didn’t Scheer hug Trudeau hard, and agree that the Big Bad Trump wasn’t treating Canada (The Country that hates him) in a very nice way?
Did the steer change his mind about his buddy Trudeau?

Further evidence of my premise that Trudeau is the stupidest national leader in world history. Sure there were insane leaders like Idi Amin but I’m talking about garden variety stupid. I challenge you to find one stupider.

I find it interesting that John Kerry has been telling the Iranians to ignore Trump and wait for a better deal after they get rid of Trump. This might be the same tactic being used in the NAFTA negotiations.
Trudeau is so married to Obama and the DNC that I don’t doubt for a second that he and Butts are colluding with Obama to destroy the American/Canadian relationship to burn Trump.
Of course, abject stupidity is always a possibility and certainly Freeland’s posture of obvious contempt for Trump is stupid if she actually wanted an agreement.

If by win-win you mean massive unemployment in his heartland, then, yes, I’d have to agree.

Man of Man!

I can’t wait!

Any minute now Andrew 2 percent Scheer is going to hold a news conference and accuse turdo la doo and Freeland of deliberately sabotaging the trade talks!

I’ll stay glued to my TV….

You know it’s going to happen….

Right?

I’ve been saying all along that, given the reflexive anti-Americanism of Canada’s majority, turdo la doo is in a win-win situation whether a trade deal is made or not.
